Great to know you’re not fixed in your views. Similarly, I’d be just as curious if your thoughts hadn’t changed. Appreciate the answer,

P.S. If anyone can tell me who the fuck ’Amy of the doubters‘ is and why she joined that group, I’d appreciate it.
From Wiki:

"The Doubters were a short-lived Belaruso-French prog-folk-metal band, famous for their 1976 #7 hit single "My Muff (ler Brings All the Mechanics to the Garage). Led by bassist and theramin-player, Amy Indichora (b. 12th May 1863 - d. 12th May 2013), they built a following by playing stadium venues, where they had a habit of turning up and playing whether they'd been booked or not (usually the latter)."

What's funny about Mourinho (granted it probably wouldn't have been funny if we lost) . But whenever i've seen him manage against Burnley (I'd extend this to other PL teams he's managed too) , he just sits there looking pissed off . First I thought he was annoyed at the way we were playing which seems unfair (Team were great yesterday imo) but I actually think he's just sat there disgusted by the whole spectacle.
No disrespect to Burnley because they are organised, tactically astute and do well to maintain PL football, but it's basically 21st century risk free long ball football for 90 minutes.

Any of the doubters from when he first joined still of the same opinion?

This isn’t to goad - I’m genuinely interested to hear your thoughts; good and bad.

I think I've changed from ok, see what he can do to believing we will win stuff with him. I was never really a doubter, but now I think we will be very successful with him.

He can be a bit of a ****, but hes a clever **** and hes our ****.

Showed some real class in his post match interview last night.

Watch "A day with Jose" on youtube on sky sports channel. It was done while he was out of manager work and gives a really good insight into the man. (EDIT: And touches on things like his body language on the touchline etc)

Like how he was gonna put Vinicius on when nil nil then changed it to Lo Celso when we went a goal up whilst he was discussing tactics with Vinicius.

He also put an extra defender on in last minutes, thank fuck! ??

For whom would Vinicius enter if the match was 0-0? I was surprised when I saw Vinicius entering at 70 min. That speaks of Mourinho wanting to win yes or yes.

his comments after the game are making me like him more and more (giving Poch a shout out re Kane and son) Was a classy touch.

maybe he has changed.

He hasn’t changed. He’s always been pitch perfect at playing the media.

Even Ferguson is no match for him in that respect.

For me that’s a breath of fresh of air after Poch, who, for all his great work as a coach, was always a pretty bland personality to me.

Correct. Visiting teams travel time is currently the only advantage a team may have for playing at home.
I'm not sure that's the only thing. Whether there is a crowd or not, playing in familiar surroundings does help. Anything that can be done a split second quicker helps, and in the periphery of vision a player can, when their head is down, sense where exactly they are on the pitch by seeing parts of the ground. It's like a muscle memory. Visiting players don't get that 6th sense.

There are other things like just knowing where you are going pre-match and familiar faces around the ground that just makes the whole thing less stressful. That's what I reckon anyway.

"I feel sad every time I have to write a list of players selected for a game. It's not just about Dele. This is the life of a big club, the life I know from Real Madrid, Inter, Chelsea."

Brilliant that he didn't mention United. :playful:

Listening to Gary Neville the other night going on about how certain midfielders could not play together like Pogba Fernandes and Van DE Beek or were not even needed at man unt and Van De Beek was mentioned again and should not have been brought .
It is obvious that Neville has an agenda with Jose and it seems that it eminates from Jose's treatment of certain players in particular Pogba .
Well it seems to me that Jose was right about Pogba being a luxury that teams that want to win things cannot carry luxury players .
As for digging out Pogba and getting no response then that just confirms that Jose was right all along about Pogba .
If a player is called out for being lacking in some way or another he should respond in positive way that proves the manager wrong ( see Ndombele ) or he sulks ( see Pogba ) and proves the manager right .
We have a similar situation with Dele and its yet to be resolved but the answer is all in Dele's hands he either pulls his socks up and proves Jose wrong or he will be gone . Ironically if he does not pull his socks up and put in what the manager requires then Jose will be proved correct in his assessment of Dele's failings . What I am trying to say is that Neville should be praising Jose for pointing out the problems at United that have now become glaringly obvious and that Jose was correct all along . In stead he has it in for him proving Neville is just a shallow
twat who is backing Ole for old times sake and being ex team mates .

he hasn’t poked opposing managers in the eye or publicly degraded the medical staff. “Maybe he’s changed” is that he hasn’t done any of that yet.

I’m not in love with him yet, don’t expect miracles ?

I think Neville's attitude may be softening a little toward Jose. After the Man U match he even said words to the effect that Jose was right when he said that getting second with Man U was an achievement.

It's here, round the 3 minute mark:

Think this has been posted before but have a watch of this from summer 2019 to give you an in sight into just how motivated Jose was and is and the type of project he was waiting for (Spurs). Also minute 6:30 he basically says "a project where we look to challenge for the title and take the club to the next level". Also minute 29-31 is massive as I've said many times Jose cares what people think about him and his legacy, its his ego, it was bruised at Man.U where despite what people say he did a great job, now he's going all out to win and with some style.

We have one hell of a class and motivated manager on ours hands guys. Watch this and you'll be even more buzzing.

Amy was exactly 150 years old when she died - must be some kind of record (pun intended!)
