Poch wasn’t even playing the youngsters, so you can’t hold that against Mourinho if he doesn’t.
Sorry I'm not holding it against Mourinho. I am interested to see what will happen. Poch wouldnt play our youth it was depressing. At least Mourinho gave time to Mctominay and Tuanzebe.

I'm not sure how many of United's buys are actually the managers choices, I doubt doubt one or two are but wasn't Woodward and their transfer policy being vilified before Mourinho even took over at United? It certainly has been since, which leaves enough doubt as to who Mourinho actually wanted or not so that we can't be sure. Personally, I think their approach to transfers has been awful and my guess is that both Sanchez and Pogba were Woodward/commercially driven, not to mention in a way managing the expectations of United supporters that they sign the 'best' which in Woodward's mind probably means the most expensive. And now they are looking for a DoF aren't they? That's a failure on Woodward, it's only a matter of time before he gets the Spanish archer IMO.

Shhhh, we need to ignore the fact that Woodward is just as bad, probably worse, than Levy.
Moyes, LvG and Mourinho have come out afterwards with critique against the way Utd transfers are done.

Woodward isn't going anywhere as long as he is making money for the Glazers, which is probably a good thing for everyone else.

I'm gunna be going into big games excited now.

Jose will ramp up the mind games and he will have been watching the likes of Klopp, Pep and others whilst he's been out of work - plotting how to beat them.

He never use to lay the blame at players doors, in fact he created a siege mentality a lot of the time. He started to do it at Madrid when he felt players were going behind his back.

I don't agree with him doing it at all but he's obviously had forces working against him.

The good thing is we have no mega-ego types at the club, just players hungry to win at all costs.

That's massively in Jose's favour

The very fact that Mourinho wants to manage us, knowing Levy and how he operates, should tell us all we want to know.

He's clearly coming in extremely motivated.

Do you honestly think his league cup win (edging past Hull in the semis by a goal and Southampton in the final by a goal) and UEFA win (struggling past the likes of anderlecht, rostock, and finally beating the talented by pre-pubescent Ajax) comes anywhere close to our CL run last season playing Inter, Barca, Dortmund, City, and an Ajax that had come of age?
haha that's SO Spurs Community. Mourinho's teams 'struggled' past which conveniently ignores the luck of the seven blind bastards we supposedly enjoyed in getting there. We also see this a lot when people praise Pochettino for finishing 4th last season. Apparently we only did it because the other teams were shit. Did we fuck, we did it because our results were better.

If they got the the final they deserved to. Exactly the same as we did.

I think it’s a pretty bold move on Jose’s part. It’s an incredible challenge for him and by no means an easy option. The expectations are high and the competition is fierce. It is the ultimate acid test of whether he is still up to it in management. So fair play to him.

He has hit the jackpot with us. He wanted a PL team so in London

Yep, Woodward's just been interested in commercial success. It will be interesting to see if we go the DOF route now. It's something that Levy seemed keen on in the past.

Can't stand the man. Spurs fan for 45 years and I've never been as disgusted with the club over how this has been handled. This could not be a worst fit.

1. Any youth players may as well go now. They'll get no chance here.
2. Turgid defensive football.
3. End of first summer transfer window there will be constant moans about how we have not supported him with 5 £80M buys.
4. Cue major sulk until December when we sack him.
So you're saying Levy is a incompetent buffoon then. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

This has been on his mind for months, he always talks well of us when on Sky.

I really think he is going to be incredibly determined

You never know it might have been part of it. One thing Levy is known to hate is allowing players to leave on a free, maybe he has been given some assurances that won't happen if he removed Poch?

We live in interesting times for sure... I'm trying and failing to process so much!
