Oh for fucks sake. It’s 2-1 to the best side the premier league has ever seen and 2 or 3 of our best 11 aren’t availbale.

Stop being such a lily livered chicken little. Our season won’t be defined by this game. Just calm down a bit

Yes, but if we want to win the league, we should do much better against the best. But we still have the 2nd half. COYS!

Just watching that aguero goal again I just don't get how Sanchez just doesn't bust everything to stop the channel for the cross he's just like holding the line then slides at the last minute.
He is stood doing nothing. He can see where de bruyne is. Makes no attempt to either get across to him and ends up caught in no man's land marking neither an area or a player. Has alot of weaknesses in his game. Positionally hes poor.doesnt read the game well and doesn't have any belief in himself when he has the ball either.

We all love Sissoko but the truth is he’s been our worst player so far. He’s not helping the back line at all. KWP is left on his own which means Toby has to help him which means there’s a hole centrally where Toby should’ve been

So just to sum up from the mood on here;

Lloris, not good enough
KWP; not up to standard
Sanchez, shit
Winks, get him off
Ndombele, needs to put in a shift
Sissoko, back to his worst
Eriksen, should have been sold
Lamela, clueless
Kane, did he play?
Poch; tactically inept

Rose and Alderwereild seemingly OK.

Could it be that all our players aren't shit but that we have come up against an absolutely astonishing performance from an incredible team, and that we shouldn't be throwing our toys out of the pram?

Edit: I remember us doing the same to them in the first game of the season in 10/11 where they already had an embarrassment of riches.

City are so fucking good it just has to be said.

Their two goals literally come out of nothing but De Bruyne is just scarily good.

It’s a shame to see us so insipid though. Liverpool come to city and give them a proper game, but we just look miles off. That’s more depressing than the scoreline for me.

It feels like we have stagnated massively and we are so far off the level we were under Poch three or four years ago even though we have much better players.

What gives?

I have not seen a step up from last season. I am starting to feel that Poch has brought us to the best he could. He has been moaning a lot this season but has he looked at himself and work on his tactical weaknesses? That pathetic passing from our own box which has been ongoing for so many seasons, totally useless! Players do not seem to know what they are doing and that I blame Poch for it.

Please??

Lloris has never been the problem, the outfield players who doesnt have balls to make themselve available for the ball is the problem, look at backpass and hiding expert Winks

Lloris has always been uncomfortable with the ball at his feet. The contrast with Ederson at the other end is stark.

Time to upgrade for me.

Norwegian commentators also commentating how effing obvious it is how narrow we are. How can Poch think this is a good strategy against teams like City and Pool?
When is playing narrow ever a good strategy unless you're planning on defending for 90 minutes?

If I see sanchez leave de bruyne free to run in the channel 2nd half I'm going to tear my hair out.
I can't believe ppl are blaming him for not getting out to the channel. Do you honestly think he could have got there on that second goal?

Secondly he will have been told to stay central and close to Toby.

The fault lies with the players not running with De Bruyne

I’ll take Winks off, place sissoko in the middle, and either get Moura or Lo Celso on (we’re not likely going to win this game if it goes on the same way in the second half, so I see no harm in seeing whether using GLC will help change the game.

At the moment liverpool are better becasue i believe their players are putting in more of a shift than ours.

They certainly do, intensity for at least 70 minutes.
Our players usually just jog about lightly, stand around and point

Mine is Winks.
Not much for his part in the 2nd goal, but he is not doing what he does best - allowing us to play through their press and linking up play.
Winks has never been that good against a press. He's good when teams give him time, and occasionally he'll drop a shoulder and win a freekick against someone pressing him, but the majority of the time he'll play it back to the 'keeper or defenders when pressed.
