Not sure why the need for the meltdown. This is probably the best team in the world we're playing.

They won the league last season despite missing their best player for half the campaign and going up against a Liverpool side that had astonishing good luck with regard to injuries, opponents throwing the ball into their own net week after week, and a dozen blatant dives being awarded with penalties.

They're a million miles ahead of us and there's little shame in that, their oil money means they simply don't operate under the same conditions as 99.99% of football clubs.

Lucky to only be a goal down. Issue we got is that we are playing too narrow, so when the ball goes to the full back, we struggle to find an out.

Not sure what position Eriksen, Lamela and Sissoko are playing, its all a bit of a mess.

Its always a tough place to come, which just highlights how good we were in the CL against them last season.

We need Moura on as I think that defence would struggle against some pace.

Seems Poch’s mentality is that, because it’s early in the season, we can afford to lose and then make up for it in the next 36 games.
Shit mentality to have though!

It’s so flat though. It’s like we have turned up and just hoping to cling on for a draw. Not the mentality of a top 4 side with ambition.

Sissoko has never been a wide player. He is so effective centrally. So why not play him there?

Has to be changed as we are getting nothing out of that. Poor Kane....not a sniff.

To be honest, it didn't take a rocket scientist to predict such a display with the lineup. Lucas had to start this one really.

Poch will watch us play shit for another 15 minutes first though before changing anything, just hope we don't concede again in that time.

Lucas wouldn't have made a difference that half. Especially as he would have been picked over our best performer, Lamela.

lo celso on for winks. Winks needs to move the ball forward not play it into the defence only to get pressed on. Get the ball to n dombele and let him move it forwards

We should be down by more than a goal. At least we still have a chance of getting something from the game in the second half.

Second half we step it up a bit running wise, Toby and Sanchez need to talk to each other the distance between them on the second goal was crazy

Not enough cover at RB & when we do go forward on the right , we are relying on Sissoko to give us an attacking threat when we all know his best position is in the middle

Lloris is part of the problem today. Just not good enough on the ball to play this type of football against a high press.

City are exceptional though. The best team of the Prem era for me.
Lloris has never been the problem, the outfield players who doesnt have balls to make themselve available for the ball is the problem, look at backpass and hiding expert Winks
