Have never been a fan of Livermore, Dean Parrett is just as good as Livermore and he never gets near the first team.Sell Livermore then promote within Carroll,Parrett,Luongo.

Who the fuck has added all those 'spend' votes?

Ridiculous, we're not even talking about Livermore starting, we're talking about him being the backup to Parker.

Absolute Football Manager shite the idea that we should spend money and get rid of Livermore when we need it for a striker and winger. Madness.

Sell Livermore for 3mil and sign M'Villa for 7mil
I'm really not sure that replacing a solid, academy produced youngster who is more than happy to be a squad player with a headcase who wouldn't be one of our top 3 midfielders when all are fit and would expect to play more often than not is a good idea.

I voted spend but I agree with some of the points made in support of JL

Livermore all day for me. There's no point spending money when you've got a more than adequate back up player plus Parker and Dembele are both quality. If anything just bring in Holtby now for the mil or 2 they want.

I just don't see him as ever being able to live up to the ability of a player like Sandro or Parker. Ability level wise I think he'll be a Huddlestone, as in, he'll be good enough as a squad player for a team fighting for top 4 or good enough to start for an established but not great Premiership side.

you need squad players in a squad and he's a young player which is always a plus

I like Jake, and I agree that sending him out on loan would be best for his development. We can't afford to be complacent now, if there is an opportunity to strengthen our options (with the news on Sandro) we should take it.

Fair enough. Perhaps I wasn't thinking it through enough, after all, he was very good last year when given a run of games by Redknapp.

What message does it send to the youngsters coming through
if you don't play them when the need arises.
And that goes for Carroll, Townsend, and Falque too
and the next batch of youngsters, the Pritchards, Smiths, Obika's
(add your own favourite here........)

We are building a squad and a team under a new manager
and our success so far this season is distracting us from the main project.

And remember we have only 16 games to go and Like Dempsey and Siggy
players new toi the club and the Premiership will take time to settle.

Livermore, Carroll and Hud in that order as back up for Parker for me.

Surely Sandro being injured (JJ says he's out for the season) means Levy will run out and buy Moutinho!
No?
Then it kind of depends on Livermore himself. What does he want? Is he prepared to stay as 4th or 5th choice and work hard, like Dawson, or does he want first team football now?
He could still turn into our Darren Fletcher.

I wasn't a fan of Livermore when he first started getting games last season, but after a while I began to appreciate him more. Yes he had a poor start to this season but I'd be willing to have some faith in him for the rest of the season.

We need Holtby now though.
