Yep, two insignificant clubs who have achieved success through being bankrolled by two rich men’s desire to have a hobby. Would we want that? I would for one.

I don't want it that way, but I'd take it if offered. We've worked our socks off to get to where we are now but we can't compete with that kind of money. Even if we somehow managed to do it against the odds, and win the league or the CL we'd struggle to make it consistent. We'd have to do it more than once and do what Liverpool are doing now to be considered truly up there. That's when the mega investment will come.

If we got bought out by a brutal repressive regime ala City/PSG I would stop watching football altogether.

Someone said to me once that it’s “not the City fans fault that they’ve been bought by Abu Dhabi,“ no it’s not, but it’s definitely their decision to keep supporting that club and to contribute to the sports washing that the regime hopes to achieve through their financial doping.

City are a cheat club, and their fans are complicit in that.

Man City got off their punishment really and that has ended FFP or seriously dented it.As a result Chelsea have gone crazy in the transfer market. How can we compete?
Let’s be fair though....Sheikh Mansour has a personal wealth of £17billion. Abramovich has £10billion.
Joe Lewis is only worth £6billion.How can he be expected tom’chip’ in for a few players? He can’t even afford a plane ticket a couple of times a year to watch a match.

To be fair to Joe, those yachts guzzle diesel. He could save a bit buying his fuel off a russian fuel thief called Roman Abramovic though.

It’s 2008. You’re a City fan. Some weirdo with a labcoat informs you one day Mark Hughes will be replaced by Pep Guardiola and Craig Bellamy by Lionel Messi. You go to punch the cheeky git in the face, then remember you were not City fan in 2008

I didn’t really believe this whole Messi to Man City story but it seems they are definitely sorting something out should he leave Barcelona. He might be the first ever player in fantasy league selected by 100% of participants!

Instant success and an upgrade on Sissoko?

With Romans money or Sheikh Mansours we could even buy Ndombele a waist-trainer.

I’m a YES.

Spanish press reporting that City Group buying him with view to get 2 years out of him at Man City then have him join New York City in MLS.
That doesn’t sound dodgy at all...

They‘ve got all sorts of cheats like this set up to game the system, like Girona being 50% owned by Pep’s brother.

Is that true?    They are just taking the piss.

It’s what a city supporting mate told me the other day. They funnel wages to Pep through Girona so they can say City aren’t paying him so much for FFP purposes.

All absolutely fine according to the courts, so there we go...
