Ake isn’t the answer for them. Very strange signing. Maybe they bought him to stop Chelsea getting him.

I wonder if the Chelsea and City owners and management and fans realise how much they are held in contempt by football followers nationwide . I myself do not know any football fan of any other club that has a good word about their success . We all know that without the Arab oil money in all probability Chelsea would be where Leeds were and City would be mid table strugglers .
Of course they will say football has always been about money and indeed this is true but the wealth of the top clubs came because of years of success on the field of play there by expanding their fanbase and growth in merchandise sales and some other rich clubs have had years of clever management from above . These other clubs City / Chelsea / Juve / PSG / have hit the jackpot with sugar daddies that have propelled these clubs into the top echelon because of their owners wealth .
In other words some clubs earned their lofty position .
And some clubs won the lottery and no hard work over years was required to obtain their position .
And yet these same wealthy owners still want to cheat the rules mainly on FFP .

Yep and when Man City were under dogs and relegated to what is now league 1 I was rooting for them and happy for them when they got back to premiership.

Bit now I can’t stand them and their bought success.

Disgraceful they got away with it as well.

Even though Pep is a good coach I don’t rate any of his work at City as he’s been able to just throw money and get a top player for any position he needs filled (although Mendy seems a bit of a duffer and Danilo was not really much of a success for them).

How many City and Chelsea fans care...none of them. They just laugh at the rest of footy fans moaning it ain't fair.

You could include Liverpool in that. They got to the top of the game through Littlewoods' money.

We should have been in Utd's position when we were the first to float shares on the stock market but, you know, Scholar...

I wonder what the fans of Transanpor of Turkey feel about their one year ban from european football in regards to the city transgressions ?
You can bet your life that Cities cheating FFP was worse than the Turkish club and yet they get off and Transanpor got done.
I am suspicious by nature and have never taken things at face value and I would like to have a peep at the bank accounts of the EUFA people that handled the city case I find it inconceivable that this case was settled on an error by eufa also the judges at the CAS judgement voted two to one in cities favour so while I am at it can I have a look at the three CAS judges bank accounts as well .
I told you I was cynical . City are well on the way to destroying football and if as I believe there will be a review of the Newcastle takeover that will show that FPP people got it wrong and there was no murder in regard Koshiggi and there never has been human rights violations and the TV rights situation was just a misunderstanding .And the Saudi bid is wonderful is good for football and all those involved especially for the pockets of those chosen to make a decision .

Swings and roundabouts. I believe our double winning side was assembled at great expense, although I'm happy to be corrected.

What first Chelsea and then Man City have done is on another level to anything that came before (including Jack Walker buying Blackburn the title).

It was, but I don't believe it was through a cash injection from the owners, though I could be wrong there.

The Richardsons went out on a limb for that team in fact they always sailed close to the wind it finally caught up with them when they built the west stand and Scholar took advantage of their cash weakness and the rest you know he ran the club into the ground and we are to some extent still recovering for his mismanagement over 30 years ago .
The point is we were still a club that got big crowds and therefore could afford to buy big these City / Juve / Chelsea / PSG are spending money not generated by the club via crowds and merchandise they are spending billions that their clubs have not generated thru normal club business it is just that their owners are richer than anyone else and will spend what is needed for success . That is why FFP was brought in to stop spending money they had not earned thru normal football business .
The club has never had a sugar daddy ( no jokes about Alan Sugar please ) we just in the fifties and sixties had chairmen that wanted the best for the club but it was always spending money on players that success on the field of play paid for .
It is just ironic that it was not player buys that put the club in jeapody it was the building of a stand .

Who’s our next manager?

Man City got off their punishment really and that has ended FFP or seriously dented it.As a result Chelsea have gone crazy in the transfer market. How can we compete?
Let’s be fair though....Sheikh Mansour has a personal wealth of £17billion. Abramovich has £10billion.
Joe Lewis is only worth £6billion.How can he be expected tom’chip’ in for a few players? He can’t even afford a plane ticket a couple of times a year to watch a match.
