I said that I felt it was important that Eriksen play but honestly the intensity of the game he'd have been lost out there. Very happy with the midfield.

Maddison is the reason I would like to see a handicap system for players. Some players start the game with an assumed yellow card, just because they're insufferable and the sooner they're not on the pitch the better.

Haha anyone see Maddison's back pack when arriving at the stadium... Fuck me, Liberace is rolling in his grave with envy.

The first half was an engrossing, high-speed, combative and creative display from both sides. Leicester are a really good side now.

In a game played this open and at this pace, a lot of the ebb and flow will be down to the bounce of the ball. We had it running our way early on, then Leicester got it for the remainder of the half.

Lamela is being given way too much space and is using it well. Sissoko has been a rock, but he's a rock with a yellow card. Gazzaniga looked nervous after his fumble, but I was howling for offside from before the ball went in. Winks has been passing securely. Kane's finish was ... um ... not a fluke. Extraordinary.

It was nice not to concede a goal just before halftime, for a change. We tried, but couldn't quite gift them one.

It's a good football game. Both sides playing with quality and energy.

I feel hypocritical when I talk about how I hate when players dive to win penalties cos our players do it too sometimes, or go down easier than they should do. However, when it comes to players play acting to get their fellow professionals sent off I find it ABSOLUTELY DESPICABLE! I'm so glad our players don't do it.

Really hope James Madison tries what he's doing with Sissoko right now against someone who takes exception to it and actually gives him something to roll around for...

I've cracked this analysis lark.
When we have KO
you can immediately tell our attitude,
game plan,
mentality
and what they had for breakfast.

Ball played back to Alders
and played immediately forward
like at Palace
We are up for it.

Ball played back to Alders
across to Verts,
back to Alders, back to Verts, across to Rose...........

Have a lie down
set alarm for the second half,

Am I wrong?

We’re very much playing a diamond in midfield, with Ndombele responsible for the left and Sissoko the right. It looks a 4-3-1-2 as Winks is not holding back and happy to chase play, which is great when we’re attacking but exposes our CBs. Verts seems extra laid back today which worries me, as does the chances of this ref sending off Sissoko for one clumsy challenge that gets the crowd baying! All in all a much better performance so far.

Are you really that dense?, I didn't think you needed me to explain every players position on the pitch to you...there's a clue if you look at Ndomele's and Sissoko's positions they're playing as box to box cmf's on both sides.

Since when do 4-3-3 formations have a man in behind the strikers? You could say at a push it's a 4-3-1-2 which is literally the same thing lol Liverpool and City play a 4-3-3, wide men hugging the width of the pitch, where do you see us doing that?

These are our average positions:

View attachment 55579

There's an outline of a diamond, our strikers are playing close together and our four midfielders forming some sort of shape...I don't know what kind of fucking 4-3-3 you watch but this clearly aint it.

By the way the app is called sofascore, I recommend you download it, you'll probably learn a thing or two.

The worst thing about this is that you're not just wrong you're being a condescending idiot in the process, take your L mate and just admit you're wrong, make it easy for yourself.

Accuses me of being condescending, then posts this absolute wreckage full of put-downs and arrogant bollocks.

Still, at least "there's an outline of a diamond" eh? If you want there to be. My favourite part of this post is where the average positions directly contradict your assertion that Lamela is playing behind two strikers. And yes, I am perfectly clear that we have to BtB CM's - that's literally the point of the formation. Presumably you only know stuff like this from FM, otherwise you'd recognise this as the same 4-3-3 Poch has employed numerous times in the past when Eriksen hasn't been available. Just because it's narrow and not the same as Liverpool's doesn't mean it's suddenly something completely different.

And "take your L"? Are you thirteen years old talking like that? Off to the land of Ignore you go once more.

Anyway as I originally said, without remotely inviting your usual "input" (because really who on here actually ever wants to talk to you), I'm enjoying this 4-3-3 far more than the usual diamond nonsense. Enjoy the rest of the match.

Kane diving again for the goal surprised he didn't get a yellow. Leicester twice as many fouls no cards. Evans on Rose was ok because he was quite close to the ball & only just caught Rose. Maddison studs up on Winks not a problem & Leicester booing the ref because Sissoko should've got red for his perfect tackle. This ref is gonna send one of our players off

First sentence is a joke right?
