We should keep Walker. With the World Cup coming up, he will not be sulking around, since he knows that losing his starting place at Spurs will also mean being usurped in the England team.

Why don't we offer City Walker-Peters? Would be ideal to loan out a talented youngster to a team below us, so he could gain some valuable experience that he might not get at a team that is challenging for the title. ;)

Hmm 4 weeks till start of the season.

I'm beginning to believe that the potential walker sale is actually our transfer budget.
So we can't buy at all until we know what man city set our budget at.

Must be frustrating for Poch but suppose he knew this would happen with the stadium. Everything sucked into it.

If we get the 50 million we supposedly want then we can probably squeeze 3 players out of it. 2 at 20 million ( Barkley, Pereira)
And one for 10 million, Foyth

Net spend £0

Also, where does the Carroll, Bentaleb, Njie and Fazio money sit? Available or not?
Add in Sissoko, and there's probably room for that extra forward we are craving.

Also potential sales of wimmer, sissoko, Nkoudou to add to this, but I'd still expect us to balance it by the end

Perhaps last minute specials.

Which ironically might result in another sissoko like purchase

I always think that the money we recoup between windows just seems to disappear. It never seems there as part of a transfer budget. The net is produced from signing and selling people in that summer window with the other money seemingly going on other stuff in between.

I think it's more likely that the 30 mil splurged on Sissoko that didn't fit net spend was actually balanced by the loans becoming perm. Of course, we are greatly over simplifying things with deal being instalments with bonuses, but this seemingly fits as an explanation.

This is not from the same source all the previous Walker stuff has come from, so I don't know how accurate this is, but my mate has been told the Walker deal is going to be nigh on £65mil all in.

If that is correct then Levy is a phenomenal salesman.

If that is the case, than Barkley and Perreira are sorted. ILWT.

£65m would probably pay for Iheanacho (£20m), Pereira (£15-20m) & Barkley (£25-30m).
If Levy could pull that off, I'd be astounded and in awe.

Use the incoming Sissoko fee for Lopez and Foyth, plus what's leftover allocate to pay rises for core players.
