This is not from the same source all the previous Walker stuff has come from, so I don't know how accurate this is, but my mate has been told the Walker deal is going to be nigh on £65mil all in.

If that is correct then Levy is a phenomenal salesman.

My head says add ons make it up to that, heart hopes an Iheanacho/Sancho part-ex is bumping it up!

£65m would probably pay for Iheanacho (£20m), Pereira (£15-20m) & Barkley (£25-30m).
If Levy could pull that off, I'd be astounded and in awe.

Use the incoming Sissoko fee for Lopez and Foyth, plus what's leftover allocate to pay rises for core players.

We're not getting iheanacho.

£55m with £10m add ons is a fucking good deal for them.

They piss that kind of dosh. In fact it pisses me off it's taken them that long to get up to that figure seeing how they piss away so much, so quickly, on other players.

Time to up it to £65m plus £10m add ons. Then that starts to favour us a bit but we're still massively strengthening a rivial at the end of the day.

Did Southampton ever put a price tag on Cedric Soares? I thought he was off to Barca but that's gone quiet and it looks like we'll be in the market shortly. More likely to settle quickly than Pereira if you ask me and you know sods law will see Trippier injured in his first start in an England shirt.

This has Luke Shaw as the most expensive full back in history at circa £30m. I think it's fair to say that £55m, if true, certainly favours us.

That would also be one of City's highest ever base fees, for a 27yo full back, which is not generally a high cost position.

Exclusive: Man City on verge of signing Kyle Walker in deal that could break defender transfer record
Manchester City re on the verge of clinching the signing of Kyle Walker after making an increased bid to Tottenham Hotspur.

Right-back Walker is now unlikely to report for pre-season training at Spurs tomorrow while the deal is finalised. Both clubs expect it to go through.

City and Spurs have been locked in talks over right-back Walker for weeks, with City reluctant to offer more than £40million.

Tottenham value Walker at £50m and it seems chairman Daniel Levy has once again got his way, with some sources even suggesting the transfer, including add-ons, could be worth up to £55m.

The £50m Paris Saint-Germain paid to Chelsea for David Luiz is currently the record for a defender, but City may be about to surpass that figure for Walker.

Matt Law from the Telegraph reckons deal is done. £55m including add ons.

I've got to say if you told me Walker would be a £55m player a few years ago I'd probably have slapped you silly.

So £55m for Walker. Good fee. But this still fucking stings.

There is one aspect of this that is worrying though. We haven't heard anything about being near to signing Pereira. Selling Walker before we have a replacement could be a really bad idea.

If Pereira is a release clause job, it should be a pretty easy one to do, especially if it's just of using part of the up front cash from walker

He's changed the article and there's now no mention of it being worth up to £55m.

He is worth more then 50 mil in the current market. If this is indeed the fee then im disappointed. 65 sounds right considering its a rival.

Walker rarely plays 2 games a week. 55m£ ??? :eek::eek::eek:
As long as we get good replacement like Pereira, this is the deal of the season. Levy has just done a daylight robbery.

Hoping it's north of the £50m with addons.

Will miss his pace. Needs a solid replacement. But not a bad deal for a 27yo.
