£40m plus Iheanacho and he can go imo.

Spend £30m on Jonathan Tah and we have got an amazing back 3 with Dier and CCV able to cover.

Then sell wimmer and Sissoko and bring in a talented and pacy playmaker.

Dier shouldn't be a back-up Centre-Back.

£30-40m + iheanacho and its deal of the century imo.The talk of strengthening them is not really relevant if they don't buy walker will buy someone near enough as good or better.

Yes but it weakens us and strengthens them so it's a double whammy. Never a good move.

I've always wanted him to stay, but it's looking like we could demand over 60mill now.

If Poch gets to reinvest that money, we could improve our squad to the point where the step down from Walker to Tripps (or Pereira) will be outweighed by the step up going from players like Sissoko and GKN to whoever Poch buys with the cash.

At the end of the day I just want Poch to get his way, if he's happy to sell Walker, fair enough.

It's reached the point now though where money is kind of irrelevant. When Sigurdsson is £50m and a bog standard centre back from burnley is £30m.

I wonder when the England boys are back for preseason. Sometimes news filters out when players get back to work. It would be good to know Walker's mindset, and the manager's too, come to think of it.

My concern would be Levy turns this into a pissing contest, demands an exorbitant fee, which City eventually agree to but too late in the window for us to get an adequate replacement, but Levy still sells because he can't resist the offer on the table.

All if's, but's and maybe's though.
The good thing about this specific situation is at the absolute worst we still have a very capable backup who has signed a new five year deal and an extremely promising academy option in KWP.

City have been hilariously fucked over by Dani Alves. It was all agreed and PSG nipped in while he was away getting married. Ha fucking ha. Maybe releasing 5 full backs in one go wasn't such a good idea.

City are a poorly run club as witnessed by their handling of their fullback situation. Unfortunately costly mistakes like that don't matter as they have a bottomless pit of money to draw on.

It's true but they also weren't going to give players contract extensions on the hope that it'd save them a few quid on transfers. Looks like Pep is going to have to delve into the academy that was supposedly revamped especially for him this preseason.

Tottenham holding out for £50m from Manchester City for Kyle Walker with right back negotiations at a standstill
  • Manchester City hoped to sign Kyle Walker for £40m but Tottenham want £50m
  • Talks over Walker are not progressing and City are without a senior right back
  • Pep Guardiola wants Walker in for US tour, but could move on to other targets

I just refuse to believe that City is that steadfast on a difference of just £10m. They do not have a current first team RB, and they want a first choice, homegrown player with 4 years left on his contract.

The only way any of this makes sense is if Walker has agreed personal terms and has told City and Spurs that he is desperate for the move. Which, by all accounts, has not happened.

Why wouldn't City just buy Peirara? (spelling). Maybe the British contingent? At a certain figure surely they just go fuck it and totally look elsewhere.

Would not be happy if we sold him to City for 50 mil. Abroad, sure, to City, fuck no. They don't have a right back and he's English, and he is one of the best in the world. This would 100% be a case of us weakening our team and strengthening a rival. We will struggle without him and Trippier is not on the same level.
