Villa fans are still unhappy with his defending. I was just reading one of their messageboards and a majority still seem to think Cuellar is their better option.

There is still a lot of hard work needed from Walker before he gets the RB slot for us. No one will argue he has massive amounts of potential but from what I have seen of him he can be a little suspect defensively which is why I was over the moon with him being sent out on loan to a PL club as it will give him a chance to devolpe while playing at the highest level because lets be honest the Championship is wasted on a player with his potential.

The problem is if we send him out on loan next season, he will almost certainly want to leave permanently. If we keep him here and he is 2nd, or 3rd choice then again he will ultimately want to leave.

If we think he has potential we will have to take the leap of faith and play him next year, whilst accepting he will make some mistakes as he grows as a player.

There is no way he will be on loan next year now, especially now in England squad. must be a better option than Hutton. Mind you an England call up is not what it used to be, Warnock in previous squads is not a high bar to set for a FB.

Injured maybe, incredibly average definitely.

Had a couple of impressive flashes going forward when he first got into the side this season but I've not seen much else from him and have much more confidence in Corluka.

His link up with Lennon is non-existant and despite spending a lot of time in the opposition half he actually poses very little threat IMO.

I don't consider him a Villa player. If you're on loan then your club owns you, not the club that are borrowing you
