Always bloody annoyed me with their talk of coloured boots, fantasy football and bags of popcorn. Ok, that was just two kids I sat in front of for a few seasons.
Baring in mind I was 9 when I first stood on the terraces at the Lane (black boots/fantasy football was Hoddle/peanut sellers) and I was completely hooked from the start, what age should you introduce kids to live games?
Should you start at the bottom? A non-League game? Or start at the top as we have the option, Wembley?
My eldest is 3. Still too young as far as I’m concerned. Probably ask to go home after 10 minutes. But I’d love to see her there. And when I explained what happened to the Lane she said it’s ok and her and her little sister will go with me to the new ground. The seed is planted but how long do I wait?
Both went to the Lane while in the womb so that box is ticked
