Hello

A bit of a random one this.

I have made my daughter randomly shout "come on you spurs". She is soon to be 5 years old and recognises Spurs and Harry Kane already. So far, i am doing a terrible job of being a father by getting her to follow the mighty spurs.?

Anyway, she asked me a question tonight that was quite funny. I was wearing a spurs training top which had the Spurs badge on. She asked me " daddy, why do you have a flamingo standing on a ball on your shirt?"

The question had me puzzled for a bit, so i explained to her, it is not a flamingo, it is a cockeral standing on a football . She then goes, whats a cock daddy? ?

I swiftly moved on from the subject ?

So i guess the question is to you fellow spurs fans, what funny things have your kids said to you?

I'll post for my dad - I once declared that Justin Edinburgh was a better defender than Ashley Cole would ever be.

Not a child, but my octogenarian mother. And it must be noted that she is the sweetest, kindest, most gentle person one could ever meet ...

... anyway, I'm at her house a few years back and I've put Spurs v Chelsea on her telly. She knows nothing of footy, mind, save her son's reactions to it. And at some point in the second half, Spurs equalize. So I respond rather enthusiastically by jumping from my chair and saying something like, 'have that, you filthy cheats'.

And after a moment or two, my sweet, dear old mother says, 'David ... who do we hate more: Chelsea or Arsenal?'.

I'm not sure if it translates well into print, but it was a moment to melt one's heart.

My 6 year old son at the time of losing some now irrelevant europa conference game said “ I hate Tottenham, they are rubbish” I agreed with him and explained every team at some point are rubbish. But spurs are pretty consistent lol. He’s still a Yid tho. Bigger fan than me. He’s done the tunnel club and he was lucky enough to be a mascot vs Marseille. Hopefully he gets his now dream of playing for Spurs.
