I can't believe some people wounldn't take Mirallas. He's almost exactly what we need. I'll have to watch him more to see what his work rate is like. I said I want us to buy a RM who's quick, creative and can score goals and Mirallas is exactly that. However, as others have said, it is incredibly unlikely at this moment in time but if Everton stay around mid-table, you never know what could happen in the Summer.

I'm sure Martinez subbing him at half time for missing a pen hasn't made him more likely to stay tbh

But if your judging a player over one game, you might as well make it the West Ham game last week where he was unplayable.

I do not want him at THFC. You can argue the case for signing him but I did not want him before tonight and I certainly do not want him after tonight. That is my lot about this guy.

Nothing to do with him missing, it was the manner in which he insisted in taking the pen - putting himself before the team and breaking team instructions.

The cynic in me thinks his agent, or advisers, have probably told him to do something controversial. Bit like the Morgan tweet last year. This shit happens when players agents are sounded out but they know their dealing with a tough Club in terms of getting a move.

Not saying its the case, but that was very out of the blue. Couple that with all the speculation in the last day....

I must have missed him physically take it off Baines as I was working, is this true?

Yes. Naismith was clearly saying give it to Bainsey, Lukaku and the rest of them looked perplexed. Baines even went up to him and said are you sure...but didn't argue with him.

All the Everton players look really surprised by it.
