Would be a brilliant signing, but I don't see it happening.

One of the most underrated players in the league imo.

If only. It says we might try again in the Summer.

Also, Matt Law says that left side attack is an Poch wants to improve in and Rodriguez, Konoplyanka and obviously Mirallas our players we're looking at. He also says we're interested in McCarthy, Schneiderlin and Delph for CM, as this is another position Poch wants to improve in. Finally, apparently Dembele, Lennon and Naughton are all available (I doubt Dembele is though) and he hints at us wanting major incomings this window, although his statement that this is just as likely as these players leaving could mean different things depending which way you look at it, as it seems Naughton and Lennon will leave but we have obviously been struggling to sell them.

Agreed entirely. Just cannot see Everton selling him to us, and I absolutely agree he's one of the most underrated and talked about players in this league. Doesn't receive nearly enough plaudits for his ability.

I believe he's also said if he leaves Everton, he wants to go to Spain, where he says he's always dreamed of playing (he is of Spanish descent). Sevilla may be a viable destination for him.

Why the left side attack? Chadli is doing a fine job there. Rather a right footed RW. But okay.

Mirallas? See my sig :D

But no way in the winter.

Even if we offered Everton a huge fee I still don't think they'd sell. The message it would send would be fatal, we're a competitor no doubt about it, and although they're way off the pace in the League they're still alive and kicking in the Europa League.

While I don't think we have a chance in signing him, Mirallas has always done well IMO when he's played there at RW. In fact, he scored on us last year from the position.

Chadli does well in some games, especially those in which the opposition comes at us. But he often struggles for ideas and incisiveness in the games in which opposing sides sit back to compact quickly, and often goes missing. I don't think we need a replacement for him, but I do think we need an alternative.

He is has been the player for Everton that we never got consistently out of Sigurdsson. The only area of question is the amount of injuries he collects. I rate him nonetheless.

He is much more direction the wing than Chadli. That being said I think they offer a great deal of the same end product.

I would take him no doubt, just not for top dollar.

Mirallas has got way more pace and trickery than Chadli while Chadli is a more proficient goal scorer. I'd say they are quite different even though they play the same position.

I like Mirallas but by the time his contract is up in 18 months he'll be almost 29 and will only have one or two good years left with no resale value either. Everton will make it difficult to sell before then so I don't see this happening.

One of my favourite players and i've believed he should be at a top 4 club for quite some time. If it was down to me, i'd play every nasty trick in the book to get him, because he brings something we really don't have in our squad on a consistent basis other than Townsend and Kane and that's the ability to really unsettle defenders with pace, dribbling and directness. It really seems to be a quality that is very very underrated on this forum. Defenders shit themselves when you run at them with pace and players like Mirallas that can go either way make the situation even scarier for them. You can play all this tippy tappy football all day sometimes and it will get you nowhere and that's when you need players that are direct and this is actually one of Harry Kane's biggest assets, he gets the ball and thinks 'Right, let's get at these bastards, where can i hurt the opposition?' It helps that his decision making is fantastic, but it's his attitude towards trying to be positive every time he gets the ball that makes him such a difficult player to handle. Pleased that we are being linked with players like him and Konoplyanka as it shows we're trying to address this issue. Our squad is still badly unbalanced and i'd love to see us in a position where we would have Chadli with Mirallas as his main alternative (with him also getting GT at RW and possibly ST), Eriksen with Pritchard as an alternative (another very direct player that unsettles defenders very often) and Lamela with Townsend as an alternative. Having all those different options would be a nightmare for any coach to prepare his defenders for

No thanks. Think he is very overrated and frankly not that effective at times. No better than what we have

I think he is better than Lennon and probably better than Townsend. I think he would give good options for those 4 front positions and give real good competition for Chadli and Lamela.

I very much doubt this will happen, least of all in this window. Maybe if he wants to let his contract run down as we're probably amongst the biggest club he could go to I'd imagine. I think he'd improve our squad, but I know quite a few Everton fans who really don't rate him because of his inconsistency.

I don't watch enough of Everton to know but I'd be worried he is a bit of a MOTD player - looks great in flashes but not at all consistent and we have plenty of that as is!

As with most Matt Law stories I'd imagine this is agent talk wanting a better contract or a better club than ourselves to get involved.

As for the player he's good and versatile but massively injury prone so unless you fancy Poch's magic stretching machine to work its magic I'd probably be against it.
