That's the problem, we are prepared to buy the Sanchez and Rodon types but we won't splash on excellence. We'll rather buy two 40m players than one 80m one

We need owners who are prepared to do the latter

It's such a dumb strategy. We should be spending most our money on any players under 29-30 who the manager wants and those 24 and under who have massive potential. Sign top players and fill squad gaps in backup positions with academy talent and free transfers/ expiring contracts.
