fair play about the champions league, but you get the picture - he is a quality player who has been a part of a quality squad competing at the highest level... Experience from a player like this could help a team in transition...
He is shite, and not any old shite but shite of the highest order.
He is shite, and not any old shite but shite of the highest order.
You think, he is shite
Its all about oinions my friend!
You can't lay it out as a statement of fact. I for one do not think he is shite. I think he would do well for us actually. It is a sqaud game now-a-days after all.... there are definately games where he would be a better option then some of the midfielders we have and games where he wouldn't, but to stone-wall say he is no good.....?!
I think that he gets a bad press. Is it because he isn't doing flashy things? He seems to get seen as some boring square headed yokel who can only do the basics. Well, he does those basics extemely well and thats more than can be said for a lot of our players recently. If we were doing the things that he does game-in, game-out, we would be holding on to our leads and be top of the league or there abouts.
What is it about him that people do not rate?
He is a solid passer who's completion rate must be up there with the best, doesn't give away possesion needlessly, has a very good shot on him, always has an end product when he gets down the line, works hard, chases back, doesn't give up, tenacious, strong in the tackle, has the right attitude......
I could go on.
What is it exactly in footballing terms that nobody like's about him? Please tell me.
He is no upgrade compared to what we have. no thank you. Isco/will/llorente falcao these are the players we should go for otherwise we remain a team of 4/5/6 positions. We need to target 3/2/1 table positions. Simple.
This. I've never rated him that highly, he has great moments in some games but nowhere near enough consistency.Big no from me.
We need players that improve the first eleven, not filling the squad with mediocre players.
Journo says he is available on the cheap - a la Ade - so if we wanted him I don't think that would be a problem. It's about onions? Some sort of metophorical point about layers?
I think Milner gets a tough time because he went to Man City for big money and isn't world-class. We hate players going for fees like £30m when they aren't worth it and they unfairly get labelled shit.
Like Lescott he was highly rated before going to Man City.
My concern isn't that he isn't good enough. It's that his transfer fee would be big and his wages huge and I'm not sure where he fits in.
Think we need to be smarter in the market than go for the likes of Milner.
