would like to seem him here, not the quickest but has a great cross (something we've been missing) and has great work effort. Anything less than £10 million and I'd take him

Gritty type of character we are missing at present. Will play wherever he's needed and never complains as far as I know. Would provide a lot more than Lennon did last season.

Stephen Hawking would provide more than Lennon did/does, one of worst players ever seen in a Spurs shirt, Milner would be a massive upgrade

Yep, always liked him. Extremely underrated and the benefit of having someone like that in your side when you're facing a tough away game is invaluable.

Not surprised Everton are interested. He'd fit in really well up there, hope we're interested genuinely.

We need more players who are prepared to dig in and he has quality contrary to popular belief.

I have personally always found Milner underrated by a lot of people, for both club and country. Was a fantastic prospect at Villa and has been solid for City, rarely one to make silly mistakes (something our squad seems prone to doing) and can be depended on when the time comes.

However I think we need improvements elsewhere in the team, in defence and attack mainly, so I don't see him as a necessity, but if he comes around at an affordable price (Like with VDV) I can see Levy taking that...

Also heard reports linking us with Marchisio at Juve, anyone's opinions on that?..would prefer him personally, but lacks PL experience

He was great for Aston Villa when he played as a central midfielder. He was promised to play in the centre for City, but I've only seen him play on the wing. He'll probably want to play in the centre wherever he goes.

Underrated, id take him.

He's a bit too hit and miss for me but that maybe down to him not getting regular football. Nevertheless, I wouldn't say no to signing him if he was going to be an understudy to Lamela, with Lennon given the boot.

I think he is like the majority of English players, very little talent just all workrate.
I suppose if you have watched Aaron Lennon for a number of years.............anyone is an upgrade.

I've been impressed by Milner this season, but if he wants to play in the middle I'd not be too keen. He's better than our existing options on the right though (exc Lamela who (a) I've not given up on and (b) may be better suited to play on the left when fit and settled). I also don't think he would improve either Arsenal or Liverpool if played through the middle so all in all I'm a bit meh as to where he goes.

I'd love us to sign him personally, great squad player and he's never let City down when called upon. The type of player that would bring some much needed experience to our team.

This. He can also play across the midfield to add some grit and experience while we bed in some of our youngsters to the new manager's plan. I'd love to make this pickup if City will sell.

Nice lad, English and all that, but i just cant see him at Tottenham, lets not buy players for the sake of it!! Lets buy what we need 1st, left back, centre halves etc, lets concentrate on that, once we have those then look at the likes of Milner and Barry as luxuries, we have got a lot of midfielders! if its about upping the home grown contingent, buy Lescott and Micha Richards !!

I don't blame you for such a reservation, but Milner would actually be quite necessary indeed. We could very much use some experience and leadership, and especially in our midfield which has very much struggled for consistency the last two years. I do wish we'd still find a Modric replacement, and immediate improvement at LW, but Milner's versatility and assurance he provides to get the job done would be very handy indeed while we take on this next transition.

I'd have him. One of those players that people just seem to dislike and not want for no good reason - he's the flip side to the overrated English vibe, a lot of people underrate him and just call him shit.

His mentality and work rate would be much appreciated at our club
He is a good player and I think he is a player most spurs fans would like but he isn't someone that would be a starter for us or any other top 7 team minus everton imo.

He isn't quiet good enough for CM spots and limited to be playing in the wide spot

However if you having a tough game he is someone good to have off the bench
