After a successful season-long loan at the Tigers, there has been quite a lot of reports saying Steve Bruce would want to sign Livermore on permanent basis.
Now, here comes Rodgers...

Anfield side chase loaned out White Hart Lane midfielder.
Brendan Rodgers' pursuit of an additional steely midfield option to support Brazilian Lucas Leiva will lead the Liverpool manager to make an offer for Tottenham youngster Jake Livermore according to TuttoMercato.
The 24 year old has hugely impressed during his season long loan spell at Hull City and will no doubt be a player Steve Bruce wants to sign on a permanent basis though the temptation of a move to Anfield could well trump any such KC Stadium switch.
The locally born defensive midfielder has represented Tottenham since the age of 16 but has managed to rack up just 11 Premier League starts for the north London club among a host of loan moves and the former England Under 21 international may well feel it time to leave the White Hart Lane on a permanent basis.
Given the sheer number of central midfield options Spurs currently have an offer of 10m (£8m) may be accepted by chairman Daniel Levy, as he looks to balance the books ahead of any summer spending by whomever replaces Tim Sherwood as Tottenham manager.
Rodgers could well do with more defensive solidity in his midfield and back-line after seeing his Liverpool side concede far too many goals this season.
-edit- just to add a reference: Steve Bruce regards Jake signing as 1st priority

Bruce's first priority will be to secure a permanent deal for Tottenham's Jake Livermore but he may be forced to wait until Spurs have a new manager in place.
"We have got to try to secure Jake if we can afford him," said Bruce.
