I really hope we sell him. Nowhere near good enough for our first team even as a squad player.

I think he's good enough for cover (against sides low in the table, League Cup, some Europa League fixtures, etc.), but our midfield is crowded with so many players better than him that it only makes sense to sell.

He is clearly not though. It is such a massive drop in quality from Sandro or Capoue to him it is unreal.

He's had a good season when he's played regularly. He wont get that with us, and unfortunately he hasn't showed he can come in and play well when called upon on those seldom occasions (which is understandable).

Selling him to liverpool would be absolutely stupid though, we should not sell to our rivals.

Like I said, there are a lot of players ahead of him in our midfield. I wouldn't expect him to be okay with the limited number of starts he get because of that and I'm sure we'll sell him. That said, it doesn't mean that he isn't good enough for the games that he would get. He's a decent player, but definitely at the bottom of the depth chart with how much talent we have in the midfield right now.

Does Bentaleb offer more than Livermore? He seems to be regarded as a brilliant prospect but on their relative merits I don't think there's much between them.

Bentaleb has more potential but is raw, livermoore is older but way more limited. We don't really need livermoore and he wants to leave so I would say let him go.

Selling Livermore and Lennon could free up enough money to go out and purchase a player that could help round out the squad and simply bring more quality to the side.

The thing is that really isn't his role, it wasn't on his way through the ranks from what I saw of him and yet he gets to the first team and they have put him in the holding role. He is a fairly limited player for our (supposed) level but he is really a player who just offers a bit of everything... quite neat and tidy on the ball, can put his foot in, will put in a shift and will go from box to box and pick up a few goals over a season and this part of his game is really his strongest suit, and was coming through the youth set up. A midfield three suits him, as the runner alongside the holding player and the creator.

I don't think he is good enough for us, but really he has been played in a role that isn't what he is most suited to.

Comparing Livermore and Paulinho''s records on the Torygraph's stats pages is really quite instructive. There's really very little difference between their chance conversion/chance created/tackling/passing stats.

Yes, I know. Stats aren't everything. Neither are they to be totally disregarded, and I don't think I'm alone in having been altogether less than whelmed by Paulinho, although he's certainly done enough to merit a second season. However, I've alsways found the criticism of Livermore over-harsh. Could he be the kind of player that would benefit hugely from Pochettino's/de Boer's coaching?

Jake has been superb for Hull this year, so to say he is no where near good enough is nonsense. The technical aspect of his game seems to have come on leaps and bounds, looking much more accomplished and confident in possession. On form this season I'd wager he's been better than any of our CMs, certainly more consistent

We are pretty short on British players so I'd take him back . When some of our foreigners gave up on us this season he would have fought to the end

Ideally I wish we could. I also liked that as of two years ago despite losing our first choices in midfield, we had some grit we could call upon to at least shore things up in defense. Now, and with the injury concerns to Sandro and Capoue, I think it leaves us a bit exposed since we just drop right down to academy players. We didn't have particularly talented midfielders in 2012/13, but at least we knew we could call upon them to put in a fight.

I'd sell him if it was up to me and use the money to buy Matt Grimes (18) at Exeter, then, as its Steve Perryman's club, loan him back to them until he's ready for more. Grimes was truly excellent all season and David Wheeler (23) also had a good season.

Both Livermore and Hudd have looked great for Hull but it doesn't mean they're good enough to be playing for a better premier league side like ourselves. Rose being the perfect example - looked a star in a poor Sunderland side whereas in reality he's a crock of sh*t. Hudd is one of the best passers/crosses in the league but other than that he's useless. Livermore on the other hand was guaranteed to kick someone and give the opposition a dangerous free kick within seconds of coming on.
