I think his situation is likely to be dictated by the Play Off Final game. If they lose he will almost certainly leave for a PL club, if they win and he plays well he'll either stay to play a season for Villa in the PL, or leave for a hugely inflated price which we wont pay.Becoming less likely by the day. Time to move on.
Indeed. If Grealish is still on our transfer wish list then we have to hope Derby beat Villa in the playoff final. Otherwise if Villa win and are promoted then I'm sure he will be happy to stay as captain of his boyhood club now competing in the richest league, and no doubt they will reward him with a new more lucrative contract.I think his situation is likely to be dictated by the Play Off Final game. If Poch rates Lamela more than Lucas, as JJ said, I guess that means Lamela will stay, in which case I'm not sure there's much point to signing Grealish.
We're not going to sign someone for 30-35m just because they are home grown when we'll have a fair few non-homegrown players leaving.Home Grown..

Mate it wasn't me who said it...non way woudl you keep Lamela over Lucas, as much as we all love Lamela he is always injured, lucas has score 15-16 goals this year and be a dam handy player, he has so much pace and can finish.
Dont get me wrong i love Lamela work rate and tenacity.
I'd hope for better in CM. Do not get me wrong, I rate Grealish very highly and wouldn't have a problem with us signing him whatsoever, but I want us to sign a real top-class CM (Ndombele pls) and a DM who's good on the ball - and a CAM to replace Eriksen if he leaves, but I don't think Grealish is good enough to replace Eriksen, so I'm not really sure where he'd fit in.I think Poch sees Grealish as a potential CM as well as an AM. He's made for a role on the left of a diamond/3 man midfield IMO. The other night he played a similar role to what Eriksen has for us this year.

Sessegnon. Done.we might have a few non-homegrown players leaving, but we still need at least 1 providing Trippier leaves and we actually promote KWP. at the moment we still need 1 HG to qualify to have a full 25 man squad for the CL.
Sessegnon. Done.
Home Grown..
