Grealish and Onomah playing different positions :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:.
They can literally slot in on top of each other in a line up. In fact that's not a bad idea. Together they might make up one full senior player worthy of a top 3 club.

I'm excited by this signing actually. Every time I've seen him this season he's been outstanding. Especially when he tore Birmingham a new one.

Surrounded by better players and our coaching staff his ceiling could be extremely high.

Fully understand people being underwhelmed as he's not a finished product but he's got potential. The way he beats men in the middle of the park reminds me a bit of Kevin DeBruyne.

Grealish is a number 10, Onomah is a central midfielder, despite where Villa played him.

Right, had a few drinks now after hearing the latest ITK, and time to reflect.

I'm not sure whether I'm onboard or offboard with this signing.

It does feel a bit like a Levy shit-sandwich special, dressed up as a paramount Poch signing with potential.

If Poch was given the choice between Grealish and Isco, he'd clearly sign Isco. Levy, would sign Grealish.

Back to the wine...
Logic. Try not to come up with in on SC when the propaganda machinery is in full infiltration mode.

Going through the Villa Talk stuff, there's the original tweet that started it and then there are posts from two different people saying Grealish to us is done. Combine that with the two random snippets we've had in here from posters, and all the ITK from Herc et al then there's a fairly wide basis to believe we're currently pushing hard to get it done. Rarely in fact, do this many 'sources' all reach the same conclusion.

He's not a number 10 either.
Completely agree, for the u20 World Cup that England won I honestly believe he was the best player leading up to the final. He stood out and just looked superior for his age in CM. Hopefully we get to see that in the future because he was seriously impressive and dominant

Aside from how I may rate Grealish, they most certainly do play different positions. Grealish is a wiry, short AM with close ball control and a little burst in him ala David Silva ( not saying he's as good of course ). Onomah is a rangy, athletic CM who can eat up ground from deep that has displayed his best performances right in the middle of the pitch in a more box to box style. Despite his previous cameos for us an AM, he covets filling the Dembele position in our side, irregardless of whether he succeeds in doing so.

Likewise Dembele has the potential to play forward.... thanks for the red X mark.

Thought I'd do the right thing and respond rather than just leave it hanging. Poor old Mousa's off though...

Go back and look at how Grealish actually was used on the pitch last season. His actual movements and the way he was in reality deployed on the pitch. Then compare it to where Onomah in fact played on the pitch. They would be in direct competition with one another at the same club.

What does it matter where Villa played Onomah? He's a central midfielder.
