Surely not - how would he end up going somewhere else for 20m while we go for Cook at 30m. The only reason is if we’ve totally fucked them/him around

Which let’s face it, is a possibility.

This is the most disappointing window I can remember. I’m sure we’ll be told it’s a difficult market to operate in, but this is incompetent.

Others have navigated it, we have not, and we’re now miles behind where we wanted to be.

The target of 3 coming in is a pipe dream.

I totally feel the same, but it does seem to be difficult for Utd and Chelsea too. The Martial-Toby thing seems to have messed up ours and Utd's windows however. I don't think anyone, including Jose saw them being so stubborn in letting Martial come to us.

I'm sure we could have made signings at the level Arsenal have bought at so far too so I'd discount them.

With question marks over RLC and Barkley even getting a chance at Chelsea why would they even consider signing Grealish. The sun talking shit as usual

Don’t agree how you can say others have navigated it, its been a struggle for all

Doesn't make any sense. They've got RLC back and Hudson-Odoi has looked very impressive in pre-season. I genuinely can't see how he'd fit in.

They are reportedly trying to offload Danny Drinkwater who played 1151 minutes for them. @£30 mill

It may have been a struggle for all but others have still managed to do business.

Yeah chelsea signed rob green on a free so thats going to win the league

All deals done are based on inflated prices, its a sellers market

Wonder if the Lewis Cook stuff is linked to the Grealish stuff? (I'm not going to pretend I know, are they similar in what they can do on a football pitch?)

How old are you pal?

I’m 37. In terms of what was expected vs what was delivered, the difference has been massive.

We’ve never, in my lifetime, been in a more advantageous position. We’re arguably one of he top ten clubs in world football, or at least approaching it. We’re in the CL, we have a world class coach, facilities and some star players.

We should be an attractive proposition. But it’s not manifesting itself in anything. It’s several windows in the making IMO, but this has been piss poor.

Look, I get it, there’s still time to rectify it and we’re keeping hold of our key players. That shouldn’t be sniffed at. But thus far, the evidence points something pretty bloody uninspiring, and the concern is that if we end the window like this, Poch will (rightly or wrongly) be disgruntled.

You can point me towards some ITK or a press conference which suggests he won’t be if you like, but he becomes a flight risk if he feels he’s not being backed

Going to use some football manager terms here. Buckle up.

Cook is more of a deep lying playmaker/box to box player (number 6 or 8), where as Grealish is more of a advance playmaker/someone who drifts and picks up different positions (8 or 10)

So if we aren't careful one of them might end up with a little Unh box next to their name if we fuck them about?

In seriousness, thanks for the info, makes you wonder if we're not looking at both - bit of a reach perhaps on my end. I still think buying young and british has served Spurs well in the past. We'll have to see.

Interesting those stories broke as they did last night, like both parties trying to pressure the other one?

The 'missing' Jack Grealish shots from the Villa photoshoot have surfaced on Twitter, so he was definitely present, which makes it all the more curious that his photos were left out of the final article.

Jack has also remained completely silent on all social media again last night and today.

Stalker ?
