Not sure if there's a thread on this somewhere else, if there is, please post the link!

Was anybody here affected by the error in releasing extra tickets for tyhe Inter Milan game?

I was perusing the OS on Friday afternoon, and spotted that there were tickets available for the Inter Milan game. I assumed that these were sell back or returns from Inter. I purchased a couple...happy days!!

Then, Saturday afternoon, I got this e-mail;

'Dear One Hotspur member
We are emailing you following a recent transaction you have made for the Champions League Group Stage match against Inter Milan on Tuesday evening.
Unfortunately, the seat(s) you have purchased in the last 24 hours were incorrectly made available for sale and are not available for this fixture. The areas concerned are seats that are removed from sale for security and/or operational reasons.

The transaction you have made has been cancelled and the monies refunded to the card you used for payment. We are sorry to advise that you do not have a valid ticket for this fixture and you will not be able to gain access to White Hart Lane on Tuesday evening.

As a gesture of goodwill for the disappointment you have experienced we will be writing to all members affected to offer you a priority on purchasing a ticket for one of our remaining fixtures this season. Full details on how to obtain these seats will be sent through to you in the next seven days.

We would like to sincerely apologise for this error and the disappointment that this email will undoubtedly cause'.

Yours sincerely

I was one of those who snapped up a ticket for a mate. Couldn't believe it when I heard that it was a massive balls-up. They should give us vouchers for the club shop or something.

In this case, a rare gesture has been made by the club, not to be scoffed at. You'll have the last laugh if we get Real or Barca next round!

What's the bet that when they cancelled those tickets in blocks 35 & 36 they also cancelled blocks 32, 33 & 34 too? You may scoff but I wouldn't put it past them.

I booked in block 34 and had it cancelled. It wasn't for me but it does mean that I'll now be able to take my other half to either Arsenal or next round of the Champs league at home without a fuss of queuing for tickets!

Please progress and draw Barca, please!

Spoke to the ticket office today and he assured me that I will be offered priority to any home Spurs game this season.

Also, as you know too well, as long as the club sell out matches it's not an issue to them how they sell the tickets!

I have been told to keep an eye out in the post this week for details on how to obtain my priority ticket, if it means filling in a form and returning to the club stating what fixture I won't be too impressed!

Did they say when you have to let them know which game you want by? So could you wait and see if we qualify for the knock out round of the Champions League and say you wanted that game? They rang my home number while I was at work today so didn't get to speak to anyone...

No, I didn't ask that question but he said that we could have priority to ANY home game.

He said we will get a letter in the post this week going in to detail and how to claim the priority ticket.

I just hope it isn't a list of all remaining Premier League fixtures with a box to tick which you want priority on! Wouldn't be too surprising though.

Letter received this morning.

List of all our remaining home games and a final box "First UEFA match of 2011".

You then select next to that 3 places in the ground you want tickets.

Liking that.
