Just to make all those aware that are planning on going to the return game against Inter in two weeks that there is a planned London Underground strike.

Those living in London i'm sure are aware of the planned action but those travelling in from out of town may not be so here it is.

From about 6pm on Tuesday 2nd November to 6pm on Wednesday 3rd November London Underground workers are planning a strike which will disrupt all lines. As with the 2 previous strikes this autumn most lines will run some form of service however there will be less trains running and some stations closed. The best thing to do is allow yourself an extra hour to get to the game and keep checking www.tfl.gov.uk on the day of the match to see what service is available. Overground services are NOT part of the action so trains from Liverpool Street etc will be available however those who attend the Lane on a regular basis will know just how difficult it is getting away from the ground via train so with the strikes expect this to be worse with long delays getting home. Buses should also be running without problems.

Didn't want to bring things down but thought some people might appreciate the heads up incase they need to make plans to leave work a little early etc. Hopefully the strke action will be called off and this won't be an issue but be prepared and keep an eye on the TfL website.

Fucking tube scroungers.

I've got to get to the game from Northampton. That'll be fun without the tube.

That was the point of me posting so you'd have a heads up. Just so you know, at the last strike most lines kept a service going so i'm not saying you won't be able to use the Tube, just check first and allow extra time incase you need to use buses etc. Not all the staff are striking either and their issue is about job cuts rather than money so don't think too poorly of them - they are just trying to pay their bills like everyone else.

Don't get me started on the reasons for their strike as this isn't the place for it but suffice to say I think Bob Crow and his cronies can stick all of their 'reasons' where the sun doesn't shine. Sadly if that happened they'd still pull some reasons to strike out from somewhere else.

Sadly the Victoria line always seems to get the worst of it when there's a strike. They obviously dash through the doors as soon as the word strike is mentioned.

Fair enough, the Vic line is often affected as it is onle of the least complicated lines and therefore doesn't have many turn-arounds or branches so if you are short on staff you can't run enought trains to meet crowd safety standards. In the last strike however the Victoria line did run from Brixton to Severn Sisters all day bar a couple of hours so fingers crossed things will be ok
