...and were drawn against an English team, who would you prefer?

Also, would it effect our style of play?

I think it would - possibly becoming more reserved, losing our pyschological edge and our status as an 'unknown quantity'.

I'd rather play Madrid or Barca to be honest, and I think we'd have a great chance of progressing.

('Yes, yes. Take each game as it comes, blah blah...')

The scum every day of the week. Would love the opprtunity to tear their season apart by the seams... we already have the chance to bury their title hopes, like we did last season, with the rescheduled ffixture. To knock them out the CL as well would be amazing.

People who's only reply to any champions league thread is the usual 'take each game as it comes' are so annoying ... no shit Sherlock bit we are.allowed yo contemplate the likely scenarios in the future..

I would wanna play Chelsea. We have a good record against them and I think they'd be under so much more pressure than us. Manure would be shite and we'd just hand the game to them on a plate.. the scum would be interesting but I would never want this fixture. If we lost it would literally be like the end of the world.

Yeah definitely not United, even though they look more beatable than ever before but I fear the mental apsect would see us roll over.

...and if we apply take one game at a time, we might not have anything to discuss for the future. Its exciting, no harm in dreaming about certain ties....

It is a joke, he asked for it in his OP, as you can see by the bolded bit

Drawing an English team would be a major disappointment tbh. I'm not that fussed about progressing considering how amazing we've done to get this far, but i'd like to see us ply our trade against someone a bit different like barca or real. Can you imagine our style of play at the Nou Camp (i'm moist just thinking about it). Sure, we'd lose, but we'd definitely score a few. I reckon a 18-11 aggregate score in barca's favour.

Hell, lets all think positive so why not play them all en-route to winning it!!!

Can we have a thread for all of those people who constantly say one game at a time (even when the OP says ignoring that), in a purely hypotetical thread rather than simply not posting.

They could discuss ways of avoiding getting excited and entertaining thoughts of who we'd play in the next round.

You know, cold showers, last night's takeaway, Anne Widdicombe and Arsene Wenger naked

It would have to be the goons for me. Of the three they appeal to me as the most beatable.

I'd also prefer our next round against a European team and not English, however if it came down to an English team I believe we'd do well against Arse anal as we have now beaten them at both home and away during the last year.

Of the three i'd avoid Utd every time. Whilst the last couple of years has seen us get over the inability to beat Arsenal and Chelsea, Utd are still holding a big old psychological advantage over us. Personally i'd like to avoid all 3 as we have played better against teams from outside the prem. I don't think we'd have the mental capacity to win against either of the Spanish teams either. Anyway, we have to beat Milan first and Arsenal will be out before we even play them so this question is pretty pointless but thanks for making me think about the CL again - always a happy thought this season

Mentioning 'one game at a time' was a ploy to stop people littering the thread with that particular slogan - that's all.

Backfired though.
