Begovic or Marshall would be cool. There are plenty of good keepers out there looking for a step up. Not as good as Lloris obviously but I don't think we would suffer that much if he went (apart from the fact that I like him very much).

I would not be able to handle Hugo Lloris leaving Spurs

Three interesting players at Cardiff Jorden Mutch Marshall and Caulker I'd certainly get back to the club.

Daeli is the one I would want from Cardiff. Kid is going to be massive. I would happily have Caulker back but only because I think we sold him a bit quickly.

No team in the world is going to bid over £20 million for a goalkeeper so this will be the ultimate test of Levys resolve, there'll be no we couldn't turn down a bid of xx amount this time. The only card Danny boy will be able to play is the bad influence card.

PSG would.

Begovic nowhere near Krul's class? Nah.

Agreed. Begovic is clearly the best of the rest in terms of the PL. I would actually like us to go for Jack Butland. Has everything he needs to make it big IMO. Get him in and play him as a cup keeper.

I would prefer we chase Begovic personally....he has outgrown Stoke (same could be said for Forster at Celtic) and Butland will want to be playing sooner than later. Krul and Vorm could probably be picked up at a reasonable rate

There are some solid GKs in other leagues (Sommer at Basel, Zeiler at Hannover, Adler at HSV, Karius at Mainz
Ospina at Nice, Tatarusanu at Steau Bucharest) that could be picked up at a reasonable rate as well.

If we were willing to really spend money (i know, i know) Patricio from Sporting or Mandanda could probably be pried from their teams.

We wouldn't sell Lloris for peanuts and buying a quality goalkeeper is important so I would hope that Levy would allow a significant proportion of any incoming money on a new keeper.

we'd probably go for begovic if hugo was sold, he seems the logical option anyway. of options abroad, keylor navas of levante is making a bit of a name for himself.

He had a good season when he first came in to the Newcastle side, he's never got close to that form since. Probably just because he had a good game against us that a lot of people want him.

Begovic would be the only keeper in the prem worth looking at. I'd look abroad though for someone like Perin.

Cech worth a shout

Hugo has said he doesn't want to go back to France and PSG already have a really good keeper

You know Begovic turned down Spurs once before? Levy got a million out of it because the deal was for him and Kaboul. Begovic was sitting there in the medical room and he saw Pletikosa also waiting, he figured he doesn't want to compete for 3rd spot so he walked out.

Anyway, Spurs could do worse than looking to Germany for a new keeper.

Ter Stegen is leaving Gladbach with a move to Barca agreed but in the balance because of their transfer ban. Two years at Spurs and off he goes, ban is over, move goes through.

Or Kevin Trapp of Frankfurt. A German U21 international, 23 yrs old.

Agreed.....just pointing out that you can get a solid GK (probably better than Marshall at Cardiff) without breaking the bank....Patiricio, Mandanda and Sommer (you can throw Muslera in that group as well) would probably be the most expensive and none would break the bank (granted Patricio and Manadanda may be difficult for other reasons) but you could get the likes Begovic, Krul, Vorm at a lower price and probably less of a headache negotiating.

Sommer is Ter Stegen's replacement at Gladbach, all agreed. He is very good though, off topic but I like Schar at centre back for Basel too.

Not Krul. Capable of having a worldie but also capable of having a mare the next game. Begovic for me, solid keeper and can make top saves as well.

Hadn't seen Sommer had signed, if we had to replace Hugo (hopefully we won't) i think he would have been the perfect choice...really think he is a quality keeper.

I like Schar as well, then again i liked Dragovich for them as well...they seem to have a good scouting set up to go along with good coaching.

And Lloris isn't going to another club next season. His stock is high after yesterday, but he isn't Neuer or Courtois, and all the other suitable clubs already have goalkeepers on his level (excluding Barca).

I don't watch any PSG, why are they supposedly replacing Sirigu? Isn't he supposed to be amazing?

I hope Lloris stays but wouldn't be surprised if he went this summer

I like Jack Butland if Lloris was to move on to PSG
