In case anybody was wondering.. .(and I hope you weren't referring to me as a **** Misfit - although you are a bit of a card yourself for being a dredger) it's only fair to say I'm proud of job he's done so far this season, but still feel a lot of you missed the point of this thread when it was conceived.

My question was perfectly valid:

Some people can't wait to jump on the manager's back and I wanted to gauge what the feeling was amongst fellow members.

In fact it's true that I was starting to go off him myself, especially after the first few results.

If it needs bumping then bump it but it makes no odds now as it's clearly history and AVB has shown his qualities - of which we can all be happy.

Long may it continue.

How was your humble pie????

Oh lord forgive me for I have sinned for doubting the mighty AVB....

For fuck sake, at first I thought it was an odd appointment at the start, given that he'd been recently booted by Chelsea, and suddenly after getting behind Harry, Levy decided to switch tracks.

The first few games and friendlies didn't show me anything and I was simply expressing my feelings at the time. Clearly they've changed and somehow I've got to eat humble pie. WELL HERE I AM MUNCHING THE FUCKING HUMBLE CAKE. Yummy.

But if people are going to continue ripping the piss and calling me prick then go ahead - I don't really have to read it and I didn't really have to comment but I've learned that sometimes it pays to get things off yer chest.

Do you know what though...... dun dun der.... and if someone feels like taking a dark looksie in the cavernous historic annals of SC they'll find it..... I once actually suggested that AVB might be the fella for us around two or three years ago before he signed up at Chelsea and FUCK ME did I get Pooh-Poohed then for putting forward such a ridiculous suggestion.....

But, back to subject...Those that neg repped me and trolled and made nasty comments can now all feel smug and fully justified in their actions because it turns out I was wrong about the guy, he's shown passion, fire and a genuine love for the club (not to mention achieving results) that have brought me round (and it wasn't a recent smelling of the salts either - I attended the West Ham and Liverpool home games and sung it out with the best of us). I still think it would have been nicer not to have to resort to negs, trolling and nastiness but some of you can't help yourselves (that's some not all).

By the way, just in case some of you wondered what type of person I am I won't bore you but I'll be there for the Fulham, Everton and Southampton games giving the club, the boys and the manager my full support and for the record I have never been a boo-er.
