I think it just because we are up and down more than other teams (or at least seem to be).

That's how I see it. The highs and lows are quite extreme with Tottenham. Capable of destroying the worlds best but will constantly slip up against lower league teams.

Yes, or winning the league cup to starting the next season with just 2 points from 8 games.

I work with United, City and Liverpool fans. We're absolutely no more fickle than any of them.

We are fickle........probably the most fickle bunch of ****s on the planet. In fact there's probably not another bunch of fans who are so fickle in their ****edness. Look at the number of managers we have had in recent years. You dont think ****s like us havent had some part to play in the long parade of managers that have walked in and virtually straight out of WHL. The way we have whinged, moaned, complained and generally thrown tantrums about the poor performances, in many cases not giving the poor bastards time to even get used to the wallpaper in their office. The way we go on about the Spurs way and the legendary attacking football as if it is some holy grail.

Seriously, that lot up the Seven Sisters Road have had one manager for our bazillion that have come and gone. There are ex Spurs managers everywhere. You cant help falling over the ****s weherever you go.

We also hate our players and constantly pick on them. We love to have scapegoats that we can pummel away at every fucking week because we are such a fickle bunch of ****s that if we didnt have that outlet we'd probably all be on GBH for beating up the wife or dog or bleeding cat or the fucking postman. Rose cant attack or defend, Walker is a dumb ass, Lamela is abject shit, Demebele cant play, Beneteleb looks too fucking ugly, Chadli had a funny bloody name. It goes on and on. Only a few months ago Kane was a lumbering imbecile who wasnt even of Championship quality. Go figure!

Yeah we are a fickle - a fickle manic depressive bunch of pathetic bastards who constantly moan and groan and then we blame it all on the team. That's typical Spurs or Spurs let me down again. Oh that was so Spursy to get beaten 5-4 by the bottom team after leading 4-0 at half time. Wouldn't happen to anyone else innit. Woe is us! Like there is some bloody Bermuda triangle vortex of continuously falling at the last hurdle permanently hanging over WHL.

We have one of the best chair men in the EPL but we are so fickle we complete deny that he has had anything do with the progress of the club over the last 10 years all because he hasnt spent 5 billion pounds on players we think are great because Football Manager or FIFA 15 tell us they are.

Even if we won the Champions League we'd have something to complain about - with a long list of post match critical faults applied to each of our players performance that would somehow totally overshadow the victory and turned it into a completely depressing anti climax....just because of the fickle bunch of ****s that we are :D

We have fickle fans in our following, but tarring us all with the same brush is wrong.

Speaking for myself, I've never called for a managers head, though I may have agreed that one or two needed to go as their position became untenable. I've never slagged of a player... Ever.
I've never slagged of a Chairman other than Scholar, but he nearly destroyed us.

I've followed this team since 1975 and never once regretted it.

There are many like me, calling us fickle is hugely insulting as it is the polar opposite of the truth.

I don' know if we are more fickle than other teams. I don't know if as a fan group we are worse than others or it's just because we are exposed to every little bit of stupidity as we are so involved.

One thing is for certain though, like in all groups of people, some of our fans are absolute moronic idiots.

So seeing as we beat that south London pub team on Saturday, I thought id tune into Talksport this evening.
Great bit of gooner baiting as always by the chief wum on radio. They had a spurs fan come on talking about finishing top 4 and Europa cup win and they both started cracking up saying same old spurs fans, one minute we're the worst team in the world and then we're talking about a cup win and cl place.

We really are seen as being gobshites when things go well and manic depressives when things are abit stale. You see it on this site aswell.

So lads and ladies, are we really that bad compared to other clubs, or do we take the crown for being most fickle?

If the cap fits.........

But lets be accurate here most teams fan bases have their "gobshites" stratum/layers some are just thicker than others.

I have been as fickle as any Spurs fan over the years. But this season I am taking it with a pinch of salt I am not expecting to finish in Champions League places and I do not believe we can afford to change manager again. I believe the constant changing of manager has been partially responsible for the unbalanced squad that we had last season.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

I'm sure that we're probably not too much worse than a lot of clubs but I do hate hearing some Spurs fans phoning into radio stations like TalkSport and almost delighting in moaning about how crap the club is (when we're not winning of course). The match day thread on here can get pretty fickle at times, especially if we're not 10 nil up after a couple of minutes and/or not straight out of the traps and hammering the opposition goal.
