And seeing the gritty performances we've been turning in when we did have something to play for, I can only imagine how disinterested the players will be when the games are meaningless. At spurs we have had a history of being the nearly men, the bridesmaids, the team that huffs and puffs but doesn't actually ever get there. How many semi finals/finals have we lost in the last 20 years?

How many times have we looked set for victory, only to fuck it up spectacularly.

The whole lasagne thing, Chelsea winning the CL, the redknapp saga, fulop having a mare, along with countless other incidents like the Chelsea phantom goal etc

We were kinda used to this and accepted it. Now it's just failure. Nothing glorious or to be proud about. Just complete failure and complete bollocks.

I don't want EL next season and a lot of that is because more of our games won't be shown and I won't have to endure 2 hours of this bullshit every weekend

Its been a bad few games but if you have been watching Spurs for 45 years then there have been many worse times and periods. Maybe what you mean is our expectations are now so much higher and that is more upsetting - but we've been much worse!
