How Can This Get Worse?

His point is that you can''t give 100% in every competition, and our involvement in the EL has resulted in poor league performances. That hampers us from even being involved in the competitions that really matter ( the PL title and the Champions League).

Continued involvement in the EL is detrimental to our higher ambitions.
Let's not enter any competitions other than the PL just in case we muck up and win them and have to keep going in the the EL. We don't want to let winning trophies get in the way of success.

I give up. I'm too old and out of touch, I blame myself for buying into the values of Nicholson and Blanchflower.

No you're not old, you are highly juvenile with veiled insults and blinkering yourself from others views.

And if you really subscribed to glorification then you wouldn't waste your efforts lauding Europe's league cup in favour of real glory.

Well, assuming we get hammered on Sunday, we'll well and truly have nothing left to play for this season. And seeing the gritty performances we've been turning in when we did have something to play for, I can only imagine how disinterested the players will be when the games are meaningless. Those dreaming that we finish outside the EL places might very likely get their wish.

And for many years to come.

I become the new Spurs manager.
VerTHONGhen no longer plays a left back, instead he plays as a right back.
We sign Defoe from Toronto on a 10 year contract to play as a left back to help him improve his offside per game ratio to second worst in the clubs history. The worst one being his previous ratio.

You can't win anything with cups.

At spurs we have had a history of being the nearly men, the bridesmaids, the team that huffs and puffs but doesn't actually ever get there. How many semi finals/finals have we lost in the last 20 years?

How many times have we looked set for victory, only to fuck it up spectacularly.

The whole lasagne thing, Chelsea winning the CL, the redknapp saga, fulop having a mare, along with countless other incidents like the Chelsea phantom goal etc

We were kinda used to this and accepted it. Now it's just failure. Nothing glorious or to be proud about. Just complete failure and complete bollocks.

I don't want EL next season and a lot of that is because more of our games won't be shown and I won't have to endure 2 hours of this bullshit every weekend

We have never been as bad as this in my 45 years of supporting Spurs. Please end this nightmare DL and get Sherwood out and never let him on he premises again. Hearing that he watched Suarez and turned signing him down just re enforces what we are all thinking, HE HASN'T GOT A ***KING CLUE WHAT HE IS DOING.

If we all see this then what must Levy and Co be thinking they are responsible for this

So we won one match this month and drew another. Lost the rest. Bring on April.

Its been a bad few games but if you have been watching Spurs for 45 years then there have been many worse times and periods. Maybe what you mean is our expectations are now so much higher and that is more upsetting - but we've been much worse!
