Apart from when Levy hears there is money involved.
Seems like a Levy deal to me. He knows Espanyol want to sell and he knows Moreno wants to come here.

Moreno is just coming off of an injury and only has 1.5 years left on his contract.

Looks like a cheap deal for a player we want and a player who wants to come here is perfectly lined up.

I have a really bad feeling about this signing. What's this about managers always signing each and everyone of the players at their former clubs? I get that Moreno is a good player and he looked really good in the World Cup but he's had an incredibly tough injury to deal with and there's nothing that proves he'll be at the same level again. Even if he was I'd still be skeptical.

If this does come off I'll be praying for success but I believe this signing together with J-Rod will fail spectacularly.

Was a clean leg break, very few have long term issues when there is no ligament/muscle damage at all, as in this case.

There is still lots of work to go through regarding fitness after being away from top football for so long. While he may not have any permanent, physical issues he still may not be the same player and even if he is I don't think he's the kind of player to take us forward.

Espanyol manager Sergio this week
“His return has been enormous and his recovery time is a lot shorter,But with a player like him, he can only play at 100% and we can’t allow him to if he’s not at his peak. He’s a few weeks from being at the top level.”

I think he'll bring Naybet-esque qualities to our team (I know he's only 26).

Moreno, Verts, Fazio, Dier is a pretty good CB line-up IMO.

Would like to see us sell Chiriches and bring on Moreno in January. Then, in the summer look to move Kaboul and let Dier focus primarily on CB. If we decide we need a 5th CB around, keep Veljkovic in or around the squad next season. If we are holding onto Vertonghen; him, Moreno, Fazio, Dier and Veljkovic represents a group of players that can boast a lot of experience as well as some young players that will be hungry to perform when called upon.

He's yet to recover fully from being out 6 months with a broken leg and he's never played in the EPL....but should he sign for Spurs he will, according to many statements, certainly shore up the leaky Spurs defense....

if we do sign him, dont expect him to show any sort of quality until the start of next season
