If Kane leaves i wonder if we now with Vlahovic price going sky high. would you rather see us come back to Thuram, Paratici will 100% try to go for Kulusevski or Berardi then we are able to get Damsgaard for 30-35m, Aarons and top centerback for the same kind of money 80-90m vlahovic or Martinez will cost.

Thuram 25m
Berardi/Kulusevski 40m
Damsgaard 30m
Aarons 30-35m
Kounde 30m + Sanchez

Would be the same money as for Kane

I don’t know if it’s those exact players, but I think there’s definitely a case for something like that vs just dumping all 150M into Vlahovic/Martinez. I think we’ve reached the price points where those guys aren’t even close to value for money.

Reading Hercs latest info that City are willing to meet the price but we are stone walling them. I guess this is getting towards the Torres to Chelsea position where we have two players we want in Vlahovic and Martinez and the price Levy wants for Kane is their combined fees. That seems entirely reasonable if that is where Levy is at. If they didn’t want that poison ion to occur they should have bid the cash earlier

Now it feels like we’re in a situation where even if City match our valuation, we’ll be unable to convince our striker targets to sign. With £150m+ potentially incoming from a Kane sale, selling clubs will already be demanding a premium from us on a replacement. We’re looking at paying a shit ton for a striker we aren’t very interested in and frankly might not be that good / could need replacing next season.

Seems like the replacement was meant to be Martinez or Vlahovic, and if neither are coming in, I don’t think we’ll be allowing Kane to be sold this summer.

By the sounds of the ITK the Kane replacement is probably 2 forwards with Vlahovic and Martinez being two of the options (think it has been suggested that their is a 3rd?).

Tinfoil hat thought here but maybe the City negotiating a deal fir Vlahovic is then trying to help the Kane transfer as they know we need to agree that price as part of any deal

There is no world in which City agreeing a deal for our target is beneficial to a Kane transfer surely. City showing interest only raises the price of any player.

We have an opportunity to spend a fuck ton of money in a very depressed and cash-poor market.

I have every faith that Daniel’s insistence on a tiresome dick-measuring contest risks jeopardising a very rare opportunity for us, no doubt pissing Nuno and Paratici right off in the process.
Again, also my concerns. How myopic has Levy become over this? At what point, if any, does he budge? And if he does budge, are we potentially looking at buying lesser quality because the A list target(s) have moved on elsewhere or secured new deals? If Kane sticks around after a failed move for another season, are we not just delaying the much needed ‘painful rebuild’ transitional season for yet another year? The farcical nature of previous events doesn’t fill me with confidence

I want this to go through so this is my positive take -

If City agrees to Levy’s figure (£150m?, £160m?), then Levy will turn around to Kane and say “look, City has agreed a fee, now show me that you want to leave by handing a Transfer Request”

If all the above happens, it’s a win-win for Spurs & Levy. I won’t be surprised, that we’d then see reports of our agreements on getting Vlahovic, Tomiyasu, Lacroix (or similar ), Aouar (or similar) and maybe 1 or 2 other signings.

Cue the optimistic ratings.

I wouldn't be surprised.

Also i wouldn't be surprised if when City meet the Kanes today as posted by City Itks that they suggest he puts in a transfer request.

It will test his mettle. Whether its the money or additional tarnishing to his legacy that he is worried about it will prove how far he will go to get the move.

I think the fans will get behind him when he plays. He will no longer be thought of in the same way though. I think this latest stunt is different though if I'm honest. This one is trying to repair his reputation, rather than to force a move. I have to say it's yet another moronic move by the Kane's though. Attempting to throw Levy under the bus is far from a smart move.
Kaveh is such a knob just answer the question which we all know is probably going to be no we didn’t recruit well enough unfortunately!

I have no idea what is occurring, but one thing is absolutely certain - we must not sell before at least one deal for a striker is firmly in place. If Levy/ Partrici fail at that simple task, then its a firing squad at dawn.

I'm seriously considering writing to the FA should this go through and questioning how can it be right that its England captain be employed by a state that has such little disregard for human rights.

In fact I'd like all spurs fans to do it. Their should be consequences for him chasing the blood money like he is
Pretty sure it’s not the money he is chasing is it!

City have Norwich this Saturday. And Arsenal the following week. You’d think that’s 6pts in the bag and actually Harry would fancy scoring in both games. That’s why I think this will drag on until at least beyond the Norwich game.
