Really lost with this. Citeh seem to now want to give us what we want (ball-park figure) and stone-walled response from us. Can’t make this out ?

wish we just get rid. More down to ‘can we get who we want?’ to replace him!

see, if city want to give us what we want ( believed to be 150m? ) just take it, fuck him off and get QUALITY replacements in! the clock is ticking! just over a week to get 4/5 players in....

What we really need now is Daniel trotting out his exhausted brinkmanship shtick on the only transfer he’s involved with this window, thus pissing everyone else off and actively harming the club in the process

and you just know its going to happen.

I actually think that the deadline has passed.

The only thing we know for sure is that Levy has said that he isn't for sale and won't even talk to city.

The deals we were looking at have gone very, very quiet for a week or more. Surely it's no coincidence?

There is no way levy sells kane without a replacement at this late stage unless a ridiculous bid comes in.

My feeling is that it's over. Kane will play on Sunday and will stay this season. And in all likelihood, next season too. Who will buy him at 29 for the money levy will want?

If we could have sold him a month ago and brought in decent replacements then I'd be all for it, but that has not happened.

I agree too and have said similar. It won’t stop Man City bidding though. What levy needs to do is stay strong on not selling even in man city exceed our valuation because we haven’t got our replacements in or about to sign.

Maybe if it leaks that we accepted the bid (and let’s face it, Kane’s camp loves a leak), it becomes harder to negotiate a fee for a replacement.

If we continue with the line that we’re in the market for a Kane partner, perhaps we get quoted more reasonable prices.

but who believes we are buying a Kane partner? We’ve been trying for years without success.

IMO, we'll struggle to get two quality players for £150m, let alone 4/5.

The frustrating thing is for me, we're told, albeit by reporters, than our spending doesn't rely on the sale of HK.

And here we are, with almost only a week left of the window still needing to bring in 2-3 players

I agree. His market value has to be met, which is around £150m. And if it isn't, then we keep him. Simple really.

Not really. His market value doesn’t have to be met, Daniel Levy’s valuation has to be met. They are two different figures. His market value might be £150m, but Levy’s valuation might be £200m because of what he’s worth two us.

This is one deal where market value is irrelevant from our position and I think that’s what Man City and the football media have really struggled to understand.

Lewandowski to City makes too much sense … apart from the fact Bayern are asking for £110m and he’s 32 years old.

If they can get the price lower, I think City would go for him for a season or two instead of Kane.

Lewandowski to City makes so much sense. They could easily convince Silva and Laporte to be part of deal too. Kane could be on verge of missing out on his move now.

I don't believe Bayern would let Lewandowski leave so late in the transfer window. They've already let Alaba and Boateng run down their contracts. They know that replacing a striker, even more in their case than ours, is really hard. They don't really need money, too. I guess this is Zahavi's ploy to test Oliver Kahn, new Bayern's president.

Surely they'll just get one more season out of him and throw the bank at Haaland. That said, wouldn't be surprised to see this at least make City's ears twitch. The money they'd have to spend on Kane isn't ever coming back, and Lewa would cost less.

Could get even messier for Harry. You couldn't make it up. Fire sale of all of the best players in world, during a pandemic.
