United being linked with Sancho again. Considering they reallt wanted him last year too, I can't seem them letting go of that chase.

Also, considering he'll cost 80m plus, they won't be spending big on a striker in a pandemic.

I don't want to lose Kane but no point in having one or two great players when we have a load of shite. I'd rather have a load of good players with one or two shit players.

The question I have is... Why would levy reject Kane leaving for say 120m when next year he would leave for less than that given he would have two years remaining... Unless we are going to invest this summer and go for it next season then there is absolutely no fucking point... Apart from the commercial side which even then... Kane leaving would be the elephant in the room commercially.
I think we have a much better chance getting into the CL with Kane than without. That's just one reason I can see Levy holding onto him. Maybe even until 1 year on his contract. CL money would make up for a lower fee later down the line. I'm sure there's other reasons to keep him too from a marketing standpoint and things like shirt sales.

He really needs to leave now - another example of a player who has outgrown the ambitions of the club.

Good luck to him, he deserves to win trophies.

The sun reporting that his move to Manchester United has fallen through.?
What move to Manchester United? When did they come up with that one?

What smoke? I haven’t seen anything of substance reported. Even Pitt-Brook retreated by saying anything could happen even signing a new contract (don’t see that tbh).
Ok so I didn't bother to look at the pitt-brook article because I think it's bollocks(for numerous reasons), so let me get this straight...... He's saying Kane has said he wants to leave but also that he might sign another contract?

He said they know from a very good source he wants to leave now, and he didn't before. That's it. There are many permutations arising...

I have no idea who is saying what and who knows anything

What does seem clear historically is everyone has a price and DL is up for any deal that makes good financial sense.

His footballing senses are apparently (back to making a guess) non existent

Stories seem to be popping up all over the place and the general vibe appears to be "KANE WANTS TO LEAVE! but probably won't"

Regardless of whether he wants to leave or not, I can't see Levy even picking up the phone for less than £150m.

Depends I suppose. If you go back far enough you'd be right I guess. It's fair to also say that we've knocked back every enquiry for our key players for the last 5-6 years or so apart from Eriksen and Dembele(for obvious reasons). So you could go back to Bale, Carrick, Modric, and Berbatov, but they were actually a long long time ago now.

Just listened to Ornstein and Pitt-Brooke do some 17 min video.
They know he wants to leave because people have told them, and he's DESPERATE to leave....5 sentences later - but they don't think he definitely will and he'll probably stay.
Combined with some.lengthy article JPB wrote last Saturday ?‍♂️

What a load of bollox.
I thought the Athletic was better than this click bait shite.

Can't say i'm a fan of the Athletic compared to the likes of Kilpatrick and Ally Gold. They just seem intent on stirring shit up (perhaps to get subscriptions) and feeding the TV media frenzy. Not sure who's consistently leaking this stuff either but I can't imagine it does the players or current manager any good. Apart from the analysis articles which are good, their rumours section seems like incoherent, inconsistent drivel.

Nothing about a new contract. Pretty nebulous article to be honest saying that he wants to leave to challenge at the top while also saying they don't think realistically it can happen due to Levy and amount needed etc.

I thought The Athletic were reliable but it honestly reads like every other article you could just make up based on what everyone knows already.

Funnily enough Pitt-Brooke and Ornstein did a video on it today and basically rebuffed the lack of sources as "you'll just have to trust us because that's how it works, we wouldn't do it if it weren't true". I mean....

The Athletic is doing their job - reporting what they are being led to believe by their sources. We might not like it but it is what it is. Lets be honest though, no one would be surprised if he wants to leave and no one would fault him. The club clearly doesnt match his ambition whatsoever and has no interest in matching it.

I caught some of Talksport yesterday whilst driving and Durham was on the proper wind up with Spurs fans. He was saying why Kane would move to Chelsea, how they win trophies in their sleep. He won't want to leave London so Chelsea is the obvious destination.

Even had Chelsea fans phoning in saying yeah imagine Pulisic andZiyech pinging in balls, he'd score 50 a season.

Football fans really are wankers aren't they. Chelsea hate Kane with a passion, yet if they had the chance to sign him they'd love it.

It's just nothing but baseless flip flopping. Trying to make out they're close to the action without telling us stuff we didn't already know. In a very similar vein to Lyall Thomas.

I'm sure the reality is that Kane would be happy to move on if the right offer came along but totally accepts his current contract situation and the fact Levy has the right to demand a fair price right now. I'm also sure that if in a year's time we are once again heading in the right direction then he may be open to a contract extension.

All this stuff about him being absolutely desperate to get out as soon as possible seems like total nonsense to me, he loves the club. I'm sure if he got a genuine chance to leave he would take it, but I really don't see him doing a Berbatov or Modric right now as it doesn't do anyone any good.

I find it difficult to disagree with that. Obviously my heart wants him to stay, but if I had no affiliation with Spurs, I'd be saying the same

If he doesn't leave now, he'll have missed a big chance

I obviously hate to say it, but...

He’s on their spurs podcast that everything could happen, but the main thing that’s changed is that Kane would consider it. Love to see if they’ve written anything in the past claiming that he wants to leave. As they are now saying it’s the first time he’s indicated that he wants to leave.

Kane had been in full training for 3 whole weeks before the final. There's not a manager on earth who wouldn't have started him.
Unfortunately Harry has a bit too much power as he is so indispensable. Poch knew that Kane usually takes 3 or 4 games to get up to speed after injury but still picked him.
Archie Gemmill and Martin O’Neill had both been injured before Forest’s second European cup final. They had fitness tests and both told Clough that they were fit. These 2 were first choice players but he put them on the bench and still won.
Harry obviously still has too much power as no one has the guts to tell him he cannot take free kicks.
Prove me wrong Harold with winner at Wembley.
