And rightly soHe can hand one in. But if he did DL will want well in excess of 150m I think.
I think we have a much better chance getting into the CL with Kane than without. That's just one reason I can see Levy holding onto him. Maybe even until 1 year on his contract. CL money would make up for a lower fee later down the line. I'm sure there's other reasons to keep him too from a marketing standpoint and things like shirt sales.I don't want to lose Kane but no point in having one or two great players when we have a load of shite. I'd rather have a load of good players with one or two shit players.
The question I have is... Why would levy reject Kane leaving for say 120m when next year he would leave for less than that given he would have two years remaining... Unless we are going to invest this summer and go for it next season then there is absolutely no fucking point... Apart from the commercial side which even then... Kane leaving would be the elephant in the room commercially.
Ok so I didn't bother to look at the pitt-brook article because I think it's bollocks(for numerous reasons), so let me get this straight...... He's saying Kane has said he wants to leave but also that he might sign another contract? What smoke? I haven’t seen anything of substance reported. Even Pitt-Brook retreated by saying anything could happen even signing a new contract (don’t see that tbh).

Depends I suppose. If you go back far enough you'd be right I guess. It's fair to also say that we've knocked back every enquiry for our key players for the last 5-6 years or so apart from Eriksen and Dembele(for obvious reasons). So you could go back to Bale, Carrick, Modric, and Berbatov, but they were actually a long long time ago now.I have no idea who is saying what and who knows anything
What does seem clear historically is everyone has a price and DL is up for any deal that makes good financial sense.
His footballing senses are apparently (back to making a guess) non existent

The Athletic is doing their job - reporting what they are being led to believe by their sources. We might not like it but it is what it is. Lets be honest though, no one would be surprised if he wants to leave and no one would fault him. The club clearly doesnt match his ambition whatsoever and has no interest in matching it.Can't say i'm a fan of the Athletic compared to the likes of Kilpatrick and Ally Gold. They just seem intent on stirring shit up (perhaps to get subscriptions) and feeding the TV media frenzy. Not sure who's consistently leaking this stuff either but I can't imagine it does the players or current manager any good. Apart from the analysis articles which are good, their rumours section seems like incoherent, inconsistent drivel.
How is he gonna leave if the chairman won't let him go?
It's just nothing but baseless flip flopping. Trying to make out they're close to the action without telling us stuff we didn't already know. In a very similar vein to Lyall Thomas. The Athletic is doing their job - reporting what they are being led to believe by their sources. We might not like it but it is what it is. He really needs to leave now - another example of a player who has outgrown the ambitions of the club.
Good luck to him, he deserves to win trophies.

Unfortunately Harry has a bit too much power as he is so indispensable. Poch knew that Kane usually takes 3 or 4 games to get up to speed after injury but still picked him.Kane had been in full training for 3 whole weeks before the final. There's not a manager on earth who wouldn't have started him.
