I think it was around this time last year he pulled his hamstring at Southampton. We can't overwork him again. He needs a rest and the poor performances are showing this.

Had a poor last few games I would rest him because normally he gets injured for a few games and rests by default. Kane was poor against Wolves totally non effective. Not sure if teams have sussed him going deep or poor form/tiredness. Looking for fouls all the time is not good and may show mentally that he's not 100%. Remember the season getting to the CL final, it was around 10 games he missed and we did fine. No player is bigger than the club and I feel Kane needs some intervention to motivate him. He's is important but not when playing poorly.

I agree, but I think it's by design more than anything. Kane and Son are the only players Mourinho has been allowing to attack recently, with the full backs staying deep and Bergwijn seemingly being moulded into the next Dirk Kuyt as a defensive winger. If Mourinho takes the stabilisers off there is plenty for the opposition to worry about outside of Kane and Son.

I read somewhere that Totti stayed with Roma but He had offers to go to Juventus / PSG / Barca / Real / Man Unt / when united were still dominant I forget his exact words but he said if I went to any of them clubs I would be almost guaranteed to win trophies . " where is the challenge in that " he went on to say " if I win one trophy with Roma it will mean more to me than many trophies and much more money with these other clubs " I am paraphrasing but words to that effect the guy is a legend at Roma but I do believe he won nothing but preferred the real challenge of trying to win something with Roma to these Uber rich clubs that can guarantee trophies . This is a man of real character to me but to some he is an idiot for not taking the money and success.
I was wondering if Kane would accept the lifelong adulation of spurs fans if he stayed with us to try to win something which is proving a real challenge or he would take the easy money and guaranteed trophies with the oil rich uber clubs plus Real/ Barca / Man Unt / ?

I'd just like to point out that Totti did actually win a few things at Roma- Serie A in 2001 and the Coppa Italia in 2007 and 2008. But yeah, I agree with your point.
