He was tired. You could tell by his touch tonight. All that work without the ball and filling in defensively is going to catch up with him.
He had a less than his usual standard game. It happens to every player. His work rate was just as high as usual for me so until it's shown otherwise(next few games) I'll believe this was just a one off isolated poor(by his standards) game

He needs a rest, problem is you’d be a brave man to do that right now.

Yep we can’t, we need him to play every game. This is not a Mourinho criticism before people get very upset, Just that I think the amount of ground and intensity that our front three cover is not sustainable over the course of the season. We are going to need games where we let the ball do the work or at least do it in longer spells in games.

Kane in the past few games has looked well off the pace. Do we think he has an injury or just lacking motivation? Against Wolves last night he was slow and was taking ages to release the ball to others.

Think he needs a big rest and should work on his fitness.

He needs to stop defending and be used as a centre forward who sometimes drops deep.

He is knackered with all of the ground he is being expected to cover. Plus he never gets a rest.

While we were winning players will put up with the negative football but once results suffer, motivation drops as well as it is not an enjoyable style of football to play.

There are no options for him to release the ball because everyone is shit scared to receive it in case they make a mistake or they make a run that gets them caught out of position

Probably as bored / frustrated as we are. Knows that Barca/RM won’t play him as a defensive midfielder.

A reported asked Jose after the cup game against Stoke if there was any concern that Kane would be tired after he played 90 mins. Jose said something to effect of Harry can manage 90 mins every 3 days and he would be ready for the Wolves game. That would normally be true if Kane was being deployed as a forward, instead he's having to play as a CM and defender in most of our games and the taxing nature of having to create opportunities, score goals and help defend will catch up sooner rather than later.

We need another number 9 in the January window. Even if we just play Kane 20-30mins in some games it would make a big difference. Imagine bringing Kane on as a sub at times as well. Vinicius looks like he could be available, he hasn't played for Benfica this season so must be looking to move. Maybe a loan move with option to buy? Come on Levy you know it makes sense.

Just tired. I wouldn’t be surprised if he picks up a muscle injury in the next month if he keeps on playing every 90 minutes.

I think he's looked less aggressive since the whole "is Harry Kane dangerous" bollocks came up after the Arsenal game. Could be a complete coincidence I suppose but those battles really get the adrenaline going in a player. ?

Kanes been battered by defences and opposition. They know, you stop Kane, you also stop Son. You dont need to mark both out of the game, you can do that by marking Kane only.

He needs a rest and the best way to get a rest is when you have possession not when you just run and chase after the football

I think it was around this time last year he pulled his hamstring at Southampton. We can't overwork him again. He needs a rest and the poor performances are showing this.
