At that point, he had scored 8 Premier League Hat-Tricks in 135 matches.

He has scored none in the next 49.

Is this due to playing with both Son and Lucas?

Could also be coinciding with Alli dropping off form. But yeah, Kane and Lucas never seem to perform together.

EDIT: Could also have to do with Tripper not putting in good crosses anymore. I think Kane scored a lot of goals from crosses from the right before that.

Those things will be factors for sure. He’s not getting the quality of service he was before.

The biggest factor for me though is he’s simply spending less time in positions where he can score from. For the last two years he’s been dropping deeper and deeper and drifting wider.

Yup. I think England is to blame for that too. But mostly it's up to a failing tactical plan that isn't supplying him with chances. Especially from the wide areas.

I think there was a point when Harry was working on his deficiencies and he consciously worked on his speed, and it paid off, he was sharper, and it got him into a lot of good areas. He's always been a strong runner but he was first to most things and would get his shots away no problem and with his top control and ball striking technique goals flowed.

But now he is just not as quick, he is second to a lot of balls in and around the area and a large percentage of his shots are now blocked. I feel this is why he has made the change in his approach it's also why he sees less ball as with less dynamic movement and speed he is not in a position to receive the ball as much so is having to come into less threatening areas and all he can really do there is pass. Also his touch of late is more hit and miss compared to his usual standards. He is still a strong runner with great technique just that lost yard has taken his edge away IMO.

I know there were stats that pointed to a drop in his speed and it was hoped it was due to his schedule over the past three seasons but it doesn't appear to be changing for the better. I would hope with all the analysis the coaching staff do they would know this and try to get him back to those levels?

If that is true then it could easily be due to successive ankle injuries robbing him of a tiny bit of agility. Fine margins at this level.

Yep and again it has to come down to Poch’s tactics. Surely any top manager would say Kane stay in the box and further forward. We have other creative players who can play the creating role. It’s another reason I’ve lost faith in Poch. He should be instructing Kane to play how he used to, not this new role.

Let's hope Pochettinho is given the time to build another team that can take us another 5 years this time with trophies.

Caught between this and Poch leaving but another 5 years will not be with Kane, I cannot see him waiting for another rebuild win things, one career and zero trophies, not what he wants.

Honestly, I don't really care about what Harry Kane wants. He's not bigger than the club and he may very well be on the decline. If it ever comes to that, I would always choose Poch over Harry.

Who replaces Kane for us then if and when he leaves?
