I remember a fair few of those keepers! Interesting that keepers nowadays use more of a side technique when kicking out of their hands too.

Being brought up on late 80's English football this is what I thought everyone did. I was absolutely blown away - and I remember it vividly - watching a full match on TV involving Red Star Belgrade where their defence and midfield spent minute after minute passing the ball to each other. Up until then I don't think I'd seen a passage of football with 20 or 30 passes without someone either lumping it up to the edge of the box or committing a tackle that today would get you a short prison sentence.

The first keeper I remember doing the side kick was Pepe Reina when he joined Liverpool. There may have been others before but he launched it so long with that technique, it felt like a brand new game changer.

I think the commentary makes this goal slightly better than it was but I never tire of watching this goal from Kaka, just pure poetic genius and skill and love the commentary

This doesn't really count as football but also it does, and I think this needs to be introduced at HT in the PL.
