Yup. You guys are right. All the fans fault, we have totally fucked everything up, collectively, us 'fans'

But in the real world what is so 'fucked up'?

4th, 5th, 4th, 5th and currently 5th, only ever behind clubs with massively bigger budgets than us, so what is so 'fucked up'?

I genuinely think that fans like you are losing interest more because of other fans making it such a miserable experience rather than what the club and team itself is doing.

Who can really enjoy such an atmosphere, on a day out for enjoying yourself FFS.
I won't say that the club is blameless as uninteresting football and lack of affinity with all the players I see isn't the fault of the fans, but I do think you're correct in the most part. The Spurs I grew up supporting was one where the fans backed the team and believed that something could be achieved even with the shower of shite presented to us (Sinton, Fox et al). Now I just feel like I go to the Lane to be miserable with other miserable people.

I'm not saying that things are so fucked up, per se, i am following through within the context of the thread.

I guess the biggest issue right now is the fact that we have such an expensive squad who are not producing the goods, coupled with high expectations making us feel like the season is a failure, where for 95% of the past 30 years our position/ points etc right now would have been seen as a triumph.

But the problem really is 105m£ of new players really not performing. Any of them.

You make it sound as if the constant complaining is specially for this year, when in reality it was the same last year, the year before that, the year before that and the year before that, you know when we were finishing 4th and reaching CL QF under the clueless Redknapp.

And you're right we do have an expensive squad, the 6th most expensive one in the league, we are currently 5th.

That's interesting indeed

Its all very well discussing the role of fans and whether they have any stakehold in the club or not, but when it comes to the 90 minutes of football from the moment the whistle is blown, what is the primary purpose of the fans?? In my mind it is to support their team, especially at home, to give them a boost, to know that some 30k people are sat there shouting, singing, cheering, and literally willng every pass to find its man and every shot to find the back of the net. Their role for those 90 minutes is to support the team.

But what does our expensive collection of players experience when they walk out on the pitch at WHL? I'm not entirely sure what it is but I sure as fuck wouldn't call it support.

If any one group is responsible for ripping the heart and soul out of this great club then it's the fans!

Barring our magnificent travelling support, and if you are one of them then i take my hat off to you, our fan base is an absolutely horrific collection of self deserving, miserable, know more about football than anybody else in the world, whining, foot stomping, miserable booing bores known to football.

This x 1000. Am embarrassed to be a season ticket holder most weeks.

You want to read BS you should try reading your own posts, thread in thread out, you are so lacking in even the most basic of understanding it's frightening.

I don't denigrate all of our fans, i denigrate people like you, exactly like you, somebody regardless of money spent i don't even class as a fan, i would prefer there to be an empty seat where you sit.

Regarding whether i go to games or not, these days not very often as i don't live in the UK for one and i gave up my ST's when my father was dying. But i am from a family of generations of Spurs fans, just about everybody in our family is Spurs and we have the club in our blood and i've had 10 years or more as a ST holder and lord knows how many hundreds of games i've been to in my lifetime, more than enough to know that recent history has seen us actually do pretty well.

Why don't you just turn your non stop complaining and whining about the club, manager, players and god knows whoever else in for a while.

lol so no you dont go which is more than slightly ironic that you have face to criticise those who do and beyond that you cant even address a single question raised ........ just simply enter into a diatribe denigrating my commitment to the club, which just so you know is 25yrs straight as a STH through good and bad. Also despite your back peddling you do mock our all our home fan base either that or you struggle to state clearly what you mean as seen below in your post.

I suggest you try and turn your venom a group deserving of it not our long suffering deserving fans

I think all clubs have a diverse fan base, not just us, wouldn't you say?
I've no time for these 'booing bores' at games either. But i do think that forums such as these should be used for airing ones views, You know, to date, i've never negged anyone, because i think everyone is entitled to their opinion, whether i agree with it or not.

laughable, may be if you went you would allow your strength of character to shine and thru and not be effected by what some guy next to you says but by what actually happens on the pitch

not sure its true though, it would depend on the measurement used and over what period
True.

How would Rooney be valued, for example? Or Gerrard? On what they cost the club way back when? Or their current percieved value? or?

Yay! Here we go again with another thread about how an ST holders opinion is more valid than someone who doesn't get to WHL.

For the record i did answer your near childlike questions in another post.

25 years too long, the club doesn't need people like you, a football thick individual who knows nothing but how to whine and cry like a spoilt little brat!

I'm surprised you've had a ST for that long as i genuinely had you down as being in pubescent years.

My comment doesn't describe our entire fan base it describes the now large element made up by individuals such as yourself.

not at all, but personally I wouldn't have the front to criticise a whole group of my peers unless I lived through their issues/fears/highs and lows - thats all, it was the collective nature of the statement which was also bang out of order but hey he is obviously a deeply frustrated chap

Don't disagree with you apart from the sour atmosphere in here is matched by the sour atmosphere at the Lane, wouldn't you agree?

I have the front to criticise a collective group that you form part of and to be honest i don't even think you have a ST, let alone one for the last 25 years.

like I say a deeply deeply frustrated chap ......... wont resort to your childish name calling but just to be factual you do refer to our entire home fan base and not a certain section but anyway its wrong of me to expect any level of a coherent, fact based response so I will leave you and your venom to it
