Here goes (sharp intake of breath!)
I have supported Daniel Levy and Enic since they arrived, I supported them through almost all of their decisions including the dismissal of Harry Rednapp.
I bought into the project with AVB and also can see why he was dismissed as well, although none of us really know entirely what happened there. I think in the past few months I have like a lot of other SC and spurs fans have become a little disillusioned with the way the club is going. I am now for the first time worried that we have lost our way and lost it from the top, to the point where maybe Enic should concider looking at selling this wonderful club to someone that can take it to the next level, the management of this club has been superb at times, even the biggest Levy haters have to agree we have progressed massively in his tenure, but I suppose everyone has a ceiling they may hit, and I am starting to think they have hit it.
Along with this I as others feel the heart and soul has been ripped out of this club in the past year or two, the thing is I don't see any of what I have said happening, and in some ways I hope I am proved wrong and DL does turn us into a super power! Sadly I just don't see it happening.
We as fans have had our expectations raised, and with that we expect better football and more committed displays than we are seeing! And really is that wrong? If the club have put us to a level and we as fans pay huge amounts of money to help find this then why shouldn't we expect this level? I run a restaurant, if I carry on charging the prices I do but let my levels of standards drop I will lose business, simple really.
I am a realist and know that you cannot stay at a level for ever as Manchester Utd are showing and Liverpool showed before them, but we really haven't helped ourselves lately with the sales if such great players and without replacing them adequatly.
Anyway that's my vent over, I feel quite sad today as I am a very positive person and have always stuck up for my beloved spurs but last night watching that match changed something inside me.
