He would be stupid to come now.

Anyone would wait until the summer snd see what's on offer when they get all yhe money.

Unless we offer him crazy money which we shouldn't and wouldn't do.

Yup. That is probably what any player with six months left on his contract would do.

That is why I am hoping for a loan swap with PSG for Wijnaldum/Ndom for the rest of the season. Would strengthen our CM right now, whilst also keeping our options open for the summer window.

But why isn't Milan pushing him out so they get a fee? He's probably worth £10m+ right now.

Juve have it in for us :cautious:

After #Vlahovic , #Juventus wants to place another big hit: #Kessié . Contact with #Milan , (obviously) very complex negotiation.

Kessie going to Juventus on a free might be the most predictable outcome if he's wanting to weigh up his options in the summer.

I doubt we're going to offer anywhere near same signing on fees / agent fees they do, Levy just won't allow it, even with Paratici.

If we want him, we need to to sign him this window IMO.

You are aware that the player and agents are the ones we are negotiating with right? The ones you just said will lose a lot of money by moving to us now?

Yeah of course, I'm just saying if we can't convince Kessie to sign for us this January, then it's not going to happen in the summer.

Perfect if Kessie goes to Juve in my opinion, if Mckennie are the absolute first-choice target for Paratici and Conte then Juve can take Kessie and will then be selling Mckennie for sure.

Juve takes Vlahovic and Kessie, while we can have Dybala and Mckennie

Paratici about to learn the hard way that business with Spurs is a lot harder to complete than Juve..

Basically every top club in europe now wants him. Shame we didn’t bid last summer.

This is the big problem with hiring Paratici and apparently adopting a strategy of targeting players at the end of their contracts.

Sure, it will appeal to us because it means lower transfer fees ( or no fee) and more leverage with the selling club.

On the flip side though, players approaching the end of their contracts will understandably see £ signs ( not to mention their agents) and will have lots of options. And we’re simply not a big enough draw in the grand scheme of things to turn players heads. Even with Conte.

The amount of posts on here today saying it’s ok Ambarat is just a stop gap until we sign Kessie. Lol.

It just shows, you have to judge Spurs on the players we are actually signing, not hopeful links for quality players. Actual quality. And so far we’ve done absolutely nothing, our CM is a mess.
