Kane, Son, Richarlison, Bissouma, Davies and Lenglet have all successfully played in a possession based attacking system and I see no reason why Kulusevski, Danjuma, Bentancur, Sarr, Skipp, Porro, Udogie, Emerson and Romero wouldn't be able to.

Even with our current injuries, I would feel more confident going with an attacking system with the below starting 11, than our current line ups.

Richarlison
Son Kane Kulusevski
Sarr Skipp
Davies Lenglet Romero Emerson
Forster
This lineup will have us destroyed by any team that has fast forwards, have you seen how slow lenglet is? Or do you think Forster can play as a sweeper keeper? Because that’s what they will have to do when the oppositions counters.

We simply don’t have the squad to play that possession base attacking football.

As much as I don’t want to say it, we need a ‘Project’ manager. Someone who will play attractive football that the fans will like, someone who won’t demand a lot and is happy to work with bargain players and prospects... ‘Club signings’.
Every manager is managing a project. This daft dichotomy of project manager vs here-and-now manager is what got us in this fucking mess in the first place. We need a really good manager. Full stop. We had one, then we shot ourselves in foot by sacking him and hiring three defensive so-and-sos since then.

So funny that "project" managers supposedly don't win things, and the here-and-now ones supposedly do.

Eric ten hag is a project manager. He's doing well, the project even has its first trophy.

So is klopp, and pep, and arteta and everyone else you care to mention down the league. Even the poor pricks on 5-month deals at leeds and southampton are project managers.

We need a really good manager. The club is a fucking project no matter who has the job.

(The expletives aren't aimed at you, btw, just a sign of frustration at this loser club with loser owners and operators making shit decisions at executive, management, and playing levels)

Its jarring. It’s one thing to rotate and not select him from the start, but he should’ve been subbed on by half time.
This is the team that lost to Middleborough last season. Wonder whether we lost to Middleborough because Romero was playing or the teams General performance.

We get destroyed by fast forwards anyway. Toby and Vetrs Were hardly quick.

They were probably still quicker than Lenglet. They didn't need to be quick though becasue they were extremely good at reading the game and had Walker and Rose either side of them with pace to burn as well.

Yeah Davies and lenglet's rip roaring pace covering at the back and Kane and Son pressing the shit out of defenders up front.

"We don't have the squad to play attacking/possessive football"

By the looks of it they can't play defensive football either, so I dunno, let's at least try?

Davie's lack of pace was fine for Poch, Vertonghen and Toby were also slow. Son worked in Poch's system and Richarlison and Kulusevski are great at pressing. Kane would be closing the passing lanes rather than pressing.

Poch also had Walker and Rose to provide recovery pace in the back four.

He’s steadily losing his bargaining chips here. I think if we exit the Champions League next week, that could be it for him.

He massively let the club down tonight and unless he changes his tune and makes it clear he wants to commit his future here, I expect the club to explore strategic alternatives
Strategic alternatives ????. Like banging square pegs into round holes, which we’ve done for the past 3-4 years.

People do overreact to a defeat but with the way we play there are no positives that can be taken in a defeat, we tolerate the football when we win a game but When we lose it's so shit because we have suffered through another 90 mins of pure horrible football and all for nothing.

It seems like some people got carried away with the hammers and Chelsea games, they were wins but not great performances so maybe people thought we turned a corner but clearly we haven't.

All the defences for Conte are being taken away, at start of season it was we're unbeaten so stop moaning, then that goes so it's we're still in all competitions then we get knocked out of league cup against a forest team who at the time were playing terribly. Then it's we're top 4 until we drop out of it but hey we're still in CL and FA cup. Now we're out of fa cup and losing going into 2nd leg of tie against an average Milan team having not laid a glove on them in first leg.
Yea we're back in top 4 at the moment but has anything that has happened this season given you confidence we will win enough games to stay there?
