ottenham manager Harry Redknapp, when asked if his side deserved a draw: "A draw? It was the most one-sided second half we've seen. We've battered them in the second half. "We didn't do a lot wrong first half. It was one-way traffic. We just couldn't get the goal.
"We got well beaten at Arsenal - they battered us second half. Last week we were unfortunate against Man United and we were unfortunate here."

I'll probably get some stick for this but if I saw this type of comment from any other manager from any other club I would say its the words of a loser. Of someone that is unwilling to admit they had a hand in the result.

His mentality is all wrong and it rubs off onto the players.

Nope I agree. As I said, I can only hope this is meeja fluff and he's giving the players a proper talking and looking at himself in the dressing room and training pitch.

If not, we'll see more of the same. I don't know why, but after the assnal game at the Lane, I thought we'd seen the last of this lackadaisical approach to the start of games and the workrate, much less this 4-4-2 berty big bollox stuff. The next 3 months where we completely got away from it and picked up
well over half our pts total must have sent a message to someone right?

Seemingly not. It's been creeping in for a few weeks and the last couple of weeks, we've gone full retard (although the Manure performance wasn't that bad, just lacked anything approaching a cutting edge or, dare I say it, self-belief).

We are shot through a shadow of the side from a few weeks back. In fact we are more shit than shot.

It's all over for us for this season Harry to go ASAP.

Great second half performance. We were a bit wank in the first though.

What was great about not being able to score in the second half Jim?

It's kind of like the arse beating Milan and everyone was raving about how great a performance it was but they still went out of the competition.

Failure even if it is glorious is still failure at the end on the day.

we didn't really batter them, i hope harry doesn't genuinely believe that. 1st half everton were better, they got their goal, eased off a bit and 2nd half all they needed to do was defend what they had, everton allowed us the ball. we wouldn't have been in that position most likely if we'd lined up with a team resembling any kind of balance.

Maybe great is the wrong word. In fact, it is the wrong word. But in comparison to the first half we were like Barcelona. On another day Defoe would have bagged at least a brace, Saha would have put his chance away and Distins face wouldn't have been in the way of a certain goal.

That said, Harry has a lot to answer for. Shit tactics once more has cost us.

Harry looked well pissed off in his post match interview with the BBC. Pressure is getting to him?

If, as Harry says, we were that close then it is legitimate to ask whether the extra percentage we'd have got by playing our best players in their best positions would have made the difference and got us what we deserved.
Anybody reading this forum will know that I am a big supporter of Harry and have never done him down and I am not doing that now but I would like an explanation for why he didn't do that today.

(Why have I got a "news" flag above my post?)Eek

Pressure tends to separate the wheat from the chaff. Unfortunately at the moment it looks like it's really getting to him.

I sadly think that a lack of attention to detail and hard work on the training ground is starting to shine through. The good run in the first half of the season masked a lot of it but now we are having a wobble you can clearly see problems with:

- Formation and the structure of our play. In the good spell we scored a few goals and played keep ball and gained some plaudits. However the last few games we have a lack of movement and options up front and have resorted to the 'hoof tactic' a lot more. We have come under pressure and not had things our own way and have seemed to run out of ideas or not know what to do other than to go direct, rather than remain calm and play to an understood gameplan.

- Defence. I have mentioned this loads in various threads, but our defensive shape is abysmal.

- Work off the ball. We make it too easy for other teams to make ground and get into dangerous areas, pressing and shape can be non-existent at times.

- Set pieces. Week in, week out the delivery of them is shocking, and we dont see any planned moves or ingenuity.

All these things could be improved upon and yet we see the same mistakes occuring week after week. Most of the fans can highlight these problems but seemingly not our coaching staff. I think that the freedom Harry allows the players undoubtably has worked so far in getting performances, but it now needs to be backed up with some hard graft and a bit more structure and basically hardwork and discipline to progress even further and find that last bit of consistency. Will this happen? I'm really not so sure.

Excellent Account - We really do allow teams to easily get to us .... Stoke is a MUST WIN game - But I am picking a draw .... as we cannot get our act together:bang::bang::bang:
