WTF has Conte been feeding him, shredded up bits of Radar equipment?

Unless he's being played in the exact position he plays for Spurs I don't want him anywhere near the England squad.

Edit: for clarity, this isn't a criticism I just don't want them ruining him.

Really glad he is showing his true ability in a position that he is suited to rather than being shoehorned into a position and structure that was just clearly not effective

He probably will play that position with Stones RCB and Maguire LCB
Agreed. I think he edges out Coady (who seems to be preferred at the moment) by the end of the season. Southgate’s experiment with 4-3-3 didn’t work so he’ll prob stick to 3-4-3 for World Cup which Dier is perfect for as we are seeing. Southgate also really likes Dier. He can also cover for Rice/Phillips in a pinch.

My new favourite thing is the gif of Dier rolling Emerson Royale back onto the pitch against Liverpool so the ref can't restart the game while he's getting treatment. Man I love Dier...

The more i look at that, the more respect i have for Dier's tactical brain.

The guy always has a mistake in him , loses concentration for a second, passing can be wayward . He has had a decent season but I don’t want him as my first choice centre back in the long term .

He’s a headache. Great passion for the club, but also a liability. He wouldn’t be the first I’d be upgrading but he’d be somewhere on the list. He cost us a goal against West Ham and very nearly did the same against Southampton. Almost every defender makes a mistake or two in a game, but Dier’s tend to be high risk mistakes

Definitely got lucky today and needs to learn to concentrate for the full 90+ minutes, regardless of how well he has been playing these type of mistakes are not acceptable.

It has been the same for many years, Dier plays 99,5% of the time really well, but then he has loss of concentration and makes a big mistake. Sometime it costs a goal and sometimes not. With the 3 CB line the mistakes are not so dangerous as with 2 CB:s, as someone else can save the day easier. I highly doubt that this would change in the future, at least I have not seen any evidence that it would.

Would be a big loss if he is one of the players with Covid.

Would be interesting to see how Rodon plays in that defence though.

He’d be a miss the form he is in but we have a squad for a reason. lots of people want Rodon to be given a chance so this could be it and hopefully he puts in a great performance to either impress Conte or get a bid out of one of the teams rumoured to be in for him.

Surprised there's no mention of his podcast interview with The High Performance lads. Only just started but it's worth a listen.
