Right.

With the window officially closed its now my time to congratulate Levy. This window has been incredible. And if I'm honest I didn't think he had it in him.

It really is a mind blowing window when you look at the financials of each deal.

He's backed Jose for sure. If anybody deserves some success from that its him. I say this sticking to my previous criticism of him. Just like any job, you do things well and some things not as well. Levy is working well, he's timed it well this time.

Time for Jose to deliver.

Fair play to the board. I’ve been one of their biggest critics but they’ve delivered this window.

The criticism of them was perfectly valid though. There was a clear need to rebuild and we are a significant way down that rebuild road now. I never though it would all happen in one window. Fair play.

10/10 window, for me.

It’s not just the rebuild it’s the cost. How the hell we got Doherty and Hojbjerg for those prices....absolute bargains.

After the transfer window, best stadium, training ground and one of the most successful managers ever in charge... I’m sure we’ll still find something to moan at Levy about ;)

Still down to players and manager to deliver but quite an astonishing transfer window achieved by Jose/Levy/ENIC under the financial circumstances.
TV, advertising, sponsorship and PL money still coming in but no paying fans for the foreseeable future and a stadium still to be paid for , perhaps we should put Daniel in charge of Brexit negotiations .

I have criticised DL in the past, although none of that was personal as he seems like a pretty amiable sort of fella. These last two transfer windows have seen him deliver the goods.

Thank you, Daniel.

Anyone still ENIC out now then?
Yep.

Nice try though :D

What Spurs have done during this transfer window has been impressive and exactly along the lines of what we've all been asking for in that we've been identifying the issues and addressing them. This new approach has undoubtably been refreshing and pleasing and credit to them for that. But I think i'll wait a few transfer windows before changing my mind. As excellent as it's been, It's one transfer window and i'm not about to forget the buffoonery and inept negligence of what went before it.

I might as well add, after so many unsatisfactory transfer windows, one has to ask, what's changed. I think a combination of things. Now this is all purely guesswork but I think there's a little bit of Levy had backed himself into a corner, a smidgin of him realising he was persistently getting it wrong and a teaspoon and a half of the whiff of rebellion being in the air. So he brought in Birch who, by all accounts, is an expert in identifying what a club needs, how to do it and where to go next and look at the change. But that's a guess and that's one transfer window. If we carry on like this then obviously everyone will be happy and have nothing to complain about, after all, they'll be doing exactly what we've always wanted. So credit to ENIC, credit to Levy, Hitchin and Birch who could well play out to be the best signing of the lot.

All those involved have done a great job putting the club back in a strong position again.
We shouldn't anyone now until the summer with us only needing a couple in, perhaps another CB and DM so a real chance for us to make something of ourselves this year, well done the club in backing Jose.

Spot on about it having been a brilliant transfer window considering the financial restrictions. What I
Ike is that we have identified the areas that needed to be improved and dealt with them. Man Utd and Chelsea seem have just gone for a big name or big names. Man Utd for example desperately need defenders but seem to have spent the window trying for Sanchez and then Cavani just to appease supporters.
Lampard has been like a contestant on Supermarket Sweep, running around spending Roman’s fortune. Ole Gunnar is beginning to be found out as regards his managerial capabilities and I reckon Lampard will also be found out this season.

With little income coming in I wonder if the money for transfers situation will be continued next year.
Also wonder if corona had never happened whether Levy would have had a much, much bigger transfer pot made available.

Think we might have to wait for the Daniel Levy memoirs to be published to find that out , hard to know how much down to Jose influence with attracting players , the hard negotiating of Daniel or has the appointment of Trevor Birch had anything to do with it ?

The biggest thing that's changed is the stadium is built and we have refinanced our loans. Even with no crowds we are in a much healthier position financially.

We'll almost certainly be looking to sell before buying next year. The squad is enormous now.

Possibly although I don't think players would have been this cheap in any other year.
