There'll be a difference between say our players earning that cash and someone from the Championship or youth club on 1-3k a week who has his mortgage to pay based off his salary I suppose. So other clubs are doing the ‘right’ thing. Well done them but I really couldn’t give a toss about them. All I’m interested in is our club still being around after all this and if that means making decisions that people don’t like then so be it. None of us know how long this will last. Most of don’t have a clue about running a small business let alone a multi million pound one. We could be bleeding money for all we know and the income tap has been turned off overnight so it is having an effect on us. And as far as the players go, the PFA are even telling them to stand firm and not accept any pay cuts. Only time will tell who did the right thing and the right thing for one club might not suit another. I think one thing is certain though, there will be some clubs going to the wall over this along with many other businesses, taking people with them along the way, spurs fans included. So in the scheme of things us furloughing 550 staff really isn’t the scandal some people are making it out to be.
