Lend us a tenner

As I say mate, I totally understand. And yes, potentially if they did look to expand any potential stake it could be a different kettle of fish.I just don’t think that a minority investment will stay as a minority investment. I could just about tolerate them sponsoring the shirt or stadium that would still be awful imo. But having an actual stake, and a sizeable one at that? No thanks.
Yeah you’re probably right. I just meant more that those who are seeing this as a deal that would help with our success on the pitch might be disappointed. I’m sure as long as Levy is in charge it wont matter how much money is flowing into the club.Sure but they’ll can prob call in some favours and get big sponsorship deals like city do
Exactly the reason I don't want us to be taken over.Agreed. Billionaires vs State buying is totally different.
But nobody who wants to invest billions into sports, invest it for money. They have all their motives. None of that is clean.
States do it for PR...Joe Lewis bought us a undervalued investment but ultimately in 20yrs have got a huge real estate empire in London with front of Spurs. None of th
Only if we get bought , it wont be by small time millionaires anymore. Club assets itself is worth more than a billion now - only serious deep pocket billionaires can do it. And all those didn’t get those billions by being moral & ethical

I still don’t see it as the same thing though tbh. That’s just investment. They aren’t buying the likes of City Psg and Newcastle as a nest egg. It’s about politics and soft power.
I don’t want them anywhere near the club. I’d rather go back to being owned by Sugar.
You fucking hypocrite. You couldn’t wait to go in two footed on people, now look who’s bending over backwards and equivocating.Fucking hell I did a bit didn’t I ?

I’m doing no such thing. You fucking hypocrite. You couldn’t wait to go in two footed on people, now look who’s bending over backwards and equivocating.
Oh come on, don't spoil it. The cockjousting is entertaining me while I sit here doing my knittingDoubt very much anything will come of this tbh
Fixed it for you…..this really feels like a leak from Levy "see your new owners could be way way more ambitious than us!"
What a strange coincidence during the transfer window ?? wonder how quickly the rumour disappears my guess 4-5 weeks.Well, well, well a rumour about a controversial investment on a week when Levy Out movement starts to be vocal.

It is quite amusing. The report says they intend to meet with a number of clubs and the only name that gets dropped is Spurs. Regardless of my thoughts on the matter I bet nothing will develop regarding a deal with us.
