As much as it's frustrating not being able to get rid of someone who is not prepared to put a full shift in, you've also got to consider the other side. He may genuinely be happy here, enjoying the club and the players around him. If that's the case though, I fully expect him to give 100% this season if he comes back into the team. No excuses. He's not a bad player to have if he does give his all, but he certainly has to display a better attitude.

Ade is nowhere near match fitness - frustrating player because he can be great but no real hunger - 2nd season running he misses pre season training (last year Citeh, this year us)

He's different than Soldado so in that respect he has a lot of value. Can hold the ball up, decent header, and can drop deeper to help build up the attack. Better get his head on straight though. There's the rub.

Yeah, Kranjcar, Corluka, Defoe, Bassong, Gomes, Pavlyuchenko, Boateng, Pienaar, Dos Santos, Taarabt etc etc etc.. All speak/spoke wonderfully of Harry's famous man management ability!!. As for Ade, Harry never 'managed' him, he just let him play the way he wanted to play, as was the case with every player (not my words, they are the words of VdV). Something along the lines of, "There is a tactics board in the changing room but we never use it, there aren't instructions or orders".. Well to be fair to Redknapp, VdV totally left out the "just go out and run abaat a bit", that he famously told Pav to do
